Batman v. Superman?

with regard to batman - michael keaton is hands down my favorite. with regard to marvel comic movies - LOVED captain america: the winter soldier. had never been a fan of scarlett johansson until then - but OMG, she was awesome!

"Is this little display meant to insinuate that you're gonna throw me off the roof? Because it's really not your style, Rogers."

"You're right. It's not. It's hers."

Tim burtons Batman is the pinaccle of superhero movies. I was surprised how good winter soldier was. I had no interest in it. Never speak ill of scarjo.

If anything the reviews have sparked my interest in batman vs superman. Long, serious, artsy, dark sounds like a winner for a comic book movie. I hate 300, but thought watchmen was excellent. Snyder is hit or miss but im intrigued now.

Did anyone see the newest fantastic 4 movie? Despite horrid reviews I thought it was god damn phenomenal, until the last 20 minutes where it just sort of ended for no reason.

I didn't think it was that bad either, but not phenomenal, merely good. (It had Dr. Doom in it FFS, my fave super villain) But, they fucked with canon by adding "diversity". So not only did the critics take a shit on it, but the fanboys did as well.

I haven't been inside a theater for over a year now, and I'm going to continue that streak. I buy too many movies as is, and I just got tired of being a revenue stream. One and done till kingdom come.

Every comic book movie I have wasted time watching has sucked ass, I wish they'd just stop making these crap movies.

as compared to what? what sort of movies do you consider 'not crap'?

Good movies! :teeth though admittedly its been a while since I've seen a decent one in the theater - the last action flick that I've seen that was decent would probably be Sicario. The genre doesnt dictate the quality though, but every comic booked themed movie, with the possible exception of the first Dark Knight movie, was utter shit and a waste of time. Yet, much like the Fast and Furious nonsense, they keep making these unoriginal, horribly acted cinematic abortions.

When Tarantino, Inarratu or Tomas Alfredson make a comic book movie, I'll go see it.

Saw it yesterday, liked it. Lots of stuff going on, cool to have an old-man grayhair Batman who's been on patrol 20 years.

Ladies will like the shirtless Henry Cavill scene too. :p

I think the problem for many is that we remember those idiot kids back in grade school just having *the dumbest* conversations about superheroes fighting each other and who would win. All the "nut uhhhh" "dat wuldnt happen becuth..." "but noooo-wuh" "mooooooooom!". These stories stem from those kids and though the movie makers do try to make it as cool as possible, it's hard to do because the idea is dumb and annoying to begin with. With that said, I'll probably see it. :p

Superhero stuff is boring.

Invincible super hero has an Achilles heel.

Lots of characters being thrown through windows and walls.

Bad dialog.

Dumb origin stories.

The only good superhero movie was Falling Down.

Being the comic uber Nerd that I am I was highly satisfied. Its a long movie with a lot to digest, I was so caught up in finding easter eggs the movie went by rather quickly for me.

I had three or four legit OH SHIT moments and while it was a messy movie in regards to editing its setting up the future universe (or....Multiverse :teeth) for DC.

lol - got it. and yeah, there's a huge difference between a great film, and fluff entertainment. am not embarrassed to say that now and then i enjoy a bit of raucous mindless cinema. love a good steak. but also love a chili cheese dog when the mood strikes me. :laughing

So was it basically DKR with Wonder Woman thrown in there for some reason?

Pretty muddled, but I appreciate the attempt to drive the story with something other than raw action. All in all, I liked it. I would have liked a little more shine time for WW, to even out with the boys action. But I thought overall it was decent.
