Hmmm. So I wonder, can we go through the far right 2 lane carpool section of the toll plaza from 5AM-7PM now? I already got one ticket there years ago and don't want to be the first to find out I misunderstood the sign.

Hmmm, I didn't notice the change. I'll have to take a look tommorrow. The officer that pulled me over didn't say anything about me being in those lanes well past 7pm.

As longs as it is carpool hours, yes.
If those carpool hours have been extended, then you're in the clear
Just make sure you watch for them to change back.

i was told it was for disobeying the black and white signs, aka the speed limit sign. I gave an aproximate speed of 70+ on the ticket, but not LIDAR to back it up. He apparently picked me up from the 880 merge to the buslane on the far right, where he saw me "moving faster than 50".

Wait, whut? That's kind of a big deal. I always thought the bus lane was only OK for HOV during carpool hours but all the time for buses. I'll be sure to keep a look out tomorrow. Those kinda things really do fly over my head sometimes.

The b/w signs on the side of the parking lot have been changed to say 5am-7pm but carpool tollbooth was still cash/fastrack at 10:30 this AM. But it did mean that while the rest of the parking lot was full the carpool lane was nice and wide open until the booth.

Speaking of Carpool, they removed the 5am - 7pm at the BB toll and they are back to the shorter time frames.

Speaking of Carpool, they removed the 5am - 7pm at the BB toll and they are back to the shorter time frames.

There were motor officers busting carpool violators this morning in the far left carpool lanes. Have also been motor officers on foot the last two evenings at the carpool entrance by 2nd and Bryant, just knocking on windows of violators sitting there in stopped traffic and pulling them off to the side to write 'em up. Like fish in a barrel.

Yea, I've been going up the ramp the hard way the last couple days. Before I would scoot onto the right side and split next to the shoulder (not over the white line though) and merge at the top of the ramp. I dont wanna get busted for that though

Yesterday I split within two feet of an officer on foot, to the right of a car in that wide section, but not over the line. He just nodded at me. It's legal, just be cool about it and don't cross over to the shoulder.

That's exactly what I said (above).

It looked like fun - I seriously wanted to volunteer to help them out, there were SO many people violating that carpool lane.

D'oh! How'd I miss that? I was getting my stuff together (I park right around there) and watching solo drivers make crazy last-second u-turns. Pretty funny.
