Best performance tires for street use

y0 u guyz need 2 stop hatin on us gixxah rydahs mang u all just jelly of dat swag yawmsayen

But you ride the elusive Gixgeratte. One cannot compare such a machine, to the average Gixxah.

There aren't any "average" Gixxah's, they are all top shelf.

Size selection is a where is it being used, selection.

Riders that can't ride for shit, and can't select the right tool for the job, are the bad name, part of the bad name.

Ended up getting the Q3's. Big difference over my stock BT-016's.

I've been very pleased with PR3s on both my street bikes. The PR3s on the Multistrada have something like 10-11k miles on them and they are finally starting to square off. There is still quite a bit of tread left (especially on the edges since I started working night shift and almost never get to ride for fun.)

They probably have at least 1k left on them before they are done or at least the rear gets too squared off for me to keep riding it.

Two of my roommates recently put PR4s on and seem to really like them, they reported even more improved wet traction over the PR3s.

I'm planning on getting new tires for my gixxer. Any suggestions or advice on what's the best performance tire on the market? I don't care about tread life. I only care about how well they perform in the twisties. Thanks!

Bridgestone BT-023

Yaaaa, that was a joke.

While I haven't heard many positive reviews for the 016s, I don't think the OEM version on the gixxer was the same as the retail version, so that may be some of it.

I will say, I absolutely love the S20s on my R6. Considered the Q3s and may try a set next time around. Haven't tried Dunlops since the 208s, and didn't like the triangular profile...

Don't blame you for being scared off Dunlops with the old scary D208's but I've been installing lots of the new Q3's are they're getting lots of positive reviews.

I've heard the same thing from other people regarding the OEM tires not being identical to the aftermarket ones. You guys are probably right.

I've heard great reviews on the S20's, glad u love 'em. Had my choices rounded down to the Q3's, S20's, SC's, and the PP's. The $40 rebate was the deciding factor, lol.

I used to run Pilot Powers all the time, and switched to S20s a couple years back. They wear well, and the tire profile makes for more linear steering response and stability while leaned for me. I think I get better traction feel with the S20 as well.
