I would agree with NorCalBusa and consider waiting until the beta test is over.

I am not sure waiting until the tourists are back in full force is the best call if you want some free air.

Of course the DY is only advisable on 1.

Looking for info, I hit Big Sur Kate, and found a flagged one way section of Hwy 1.
Never heard the end about the fire that closed hwy 1 this summer, when was it put out ?
Wondering about the fear of El Niño, this winter, LA is worried, storms & tide washing away Amtrak, & freeways along the shore.
Burn scars in Big Sur, ?

I rode down to Ragged Point and back a couple weeks ago. It was a fun ride. Traffic wasn't too bad for a Saturday. There weren't too many burn scars approaching the highway. It looked like the north side of the Big Sur River Gorge got torched.
