Won't work for you if you meet one of those hicks coming around a corner across the double yellow hauling a trailer. Unlikely they have any more respect for fjr riders than they do for cyclists.

Wow! :wow
Sounds like sum spandex wear'in little bitch needz ta get laid. :chuci

Just because I think they are cowards, and you would probably do the same thing I can't get laid? :laughing Wow, stellar logic right there. :rofl

My 6.2 Detroit Diesel won't do that. :(

But I'm okay with 18mpg out of a 30 year old dually that will happily run on used veggie oil and needs exactly zero electronics to operate basically forever.

Not surprising from Dodge owners. Dodge has always had the lockdown on white trash customers, with their discount pricing and "in your face" styling.

But Ford owners aren't in the clear either. Do a search for "insane turbo whistle" and there's tons of posts from Powerstroke owners asking how to get it (usually by eliminating some part of the exhaust). They even have their own ringtone. :rolleyes

Yes and Chevy of all brands has no attraction to white trash? :rolleyes

Morons drive everything, and a diesel dodge is by no means cheap at all-go price one, out, even used. Typically costs far more than the comparable trucks as the Cummins motor is so popular/dependable.

If you think that shit is funny, you clearly do not understand the long-lasting ramifications of the scientifically proven harm you're engaging in. You don't have to be a hippie to get it. I love diesel engines. They've made me lots of money in this world and when properly maintained are fantastic and yet frugal powerhouses. What I don't love are jackasses with inferiority complexes that think that the only thing they're doing by "coal rolling" is thumbing their noses at Obama.

:thumbup

The guys doing this are witless cretins. The guys who want to do this are too.

Wanna bet on that? ;)

What's funny is that the same engines used in the American medium-duty pickup diesel setups are already regulated when used in a heavy-duty and/or commercial setup. That truck came with a post-2007 compliant exhaust setup that was simply removed. It's a common thing for "bros" to do outside of California. In California, it's not so common anymore and what the "bros" don't realize (or care about, likely) is that they're only a butt hair away from falling under the Truck and Bus Rule. That's where the real fun is going to begin for them. And to think, if they had just left their after-treatment system alone and stopped deliberately over-fueling their engine, they may have not caused anyone to pay attention to them. :facepalm

living in sonoma county this shiot has been going on for years. since I was in high school

I concisely chose to not have kids for various reasons about 30 years ago, one of those reasons is my perception of the declining overall quality of the human species and not wanting my offspring to have to deal with it all. These coal guys will no doubt have equally stupid kids with equally stupid women and it's their kids that will have to breathe the polluted air they seem to enjoy creating. I don't think that's entering their minds. At this point I'm a bemused observer with no personal stake in the future.

Is there any processing that needs to be done to used oil?

Throw some more transformer oil in that bad boy. Preferably from a unit that is gassing. :teeth
