Dating is Expensive, Holy Hell!

Last Saturday friend, wife and I went to a good Sushi joint in Chico. Yes Chico.
$190 including 3 drinks and desert.

If you spend less than $45 for two in the Bay Area I'd check stay close to a bathroom. Fake crab and "California rolls" do not count as sushi. Either does Gas Station Sushi.

I guess you're a baller then, but normal people don't spend more than $45 for two. Especially considering that Dubs lives in Danville/San Ramon, not overpriced SF where places charge twice as much just because of the "vibe" lol.

You're a bit off, I've dined in the east bay, at places known for good fish. Ordering good fish is just more expensive than what's commonly on the menu.

"Normal people?" Inexpensive, like Danville/San Ramon? For the Record I rarely go to SF for dinner. I just went to Pho for two and spent $40 and only had two beers total. I think $45 for Sushi for two before drinks is unrealistic. Don't consider myself a baller but maybe by your standards...

^^^EXACTLY^^^

Same thing happened to me in Vegas at a bachelor party. We all sit down to a nice dinner and two French guys go bonkers with 200 dollar bottles of wine. I don't drink wine and they wanted me to chip in. I handed over the money for my meal and explained to them that I don't drink wine, got up and left. Guess what, they paid for the wine.

Dubbs,

We make fun of you because you make dating extremely complicated, when it's actually very simple. Quit trying to understand everything. Just enjoy that moment for the moment, and keep moving forward. The more you think, the worse at this you're going to get. Now go PIIHB (ask first), and if she's kool.. then you have a keeper. If she fights, accept no as answer and fuck her friend.

Well exactly what and how much of it do you eat? Most people don't eat a lot of sashimi, they usually just buy rolls, which are only $4-9 each at most places. And 3 rolls is enough for most normal people who don't weigh 200+ lbs, lol.

3 x 9 x 2 = $54 not including drink, tip, or tax

:laughing

Where are you getting rolls for $4 that aren't California rolls?

Everything seems to be between 9-15ish when I go to a sushi house.

Obviously you're abnormal and can't get any pussy. :laughing

All the real ballers eat at Denny's and stiff on the tip.

It's like you know me !!

Not exactly on topic but there's a hole in the wall sushi place near my house. Been going there for years. Love them. Love the food. Gave me some sake jelly drink once and now I'm on the hunt for that shit all the time. :drool. Turns out they're one of the best sushi places in the greater Sac area. Who knew. I just have always loved them. :)

Dinner for 2 including sake and apps (sashimi and chirachi usually) runs about $80 with tip.
