Actually, this is a friend of his. lol
You remember the D40 we used to take the Gina pics at OFG's? I had borrowed that from this other guy.
This other guys arsenal is a D700 as a side camera, and a D3 main.

It's OK to hate him.

Looking to pick up a fixed lens for my Nikon D60, any recommendations?

Finding them online for about 200 bux, ebay for about 150 but I have heard some horror stories about lens shopping on ebay so I'm hoping for a different route.

Anyone got an old one lying around? that's how I picked up my D60 in the first place :rofl

35mm f1.8

Great little lens. Should be able to find one on ebay/CL in your price range. I sold mine a couple months ago for $160. :thumbup

Went to Keeble and Shuchat, bought a light stand and an umbrella. Also asked about the D4. They have 10-15 people waiting list which put down a deposit....for a 6k body :shocker

Might also consider the 50mm 1.4 (AF-D) lenses. Very versatile little lens and excellent in low light.

the 50 1.8d is best bang for buck lens there is. it won't autofocus on the guy's D60 though, while the new 35 1.8g will. Plus a 50 on cropped sensor body is a bit long for casual walk around lens, while the 35 is bit easier to use.

hi all, just got a Canon T3 over the weekend with the 15-55mm kit lens and have been playing around with it in manual mode. Big :thumbup to wannabe for all of the help so far :).
Anyone have a 50mm f1.8 they have lying around to sell? I'm saving for a 50mm f1.4 and was planning on getting it later this year. However, the kit lens is not working well for indoor pics of the kids for me with no flash.

Cool, I skipped 3. :laughing

Reading the quickie press release, this has some nice features I could use. I'll give it a try and report back. :thumbup

3 was awesome, dunno why you'd skip it. so far, what ive read about 4 that i like is white balance brush :D

yes, i've been messing around with lightroom for a bit and i'm really glad I decided to get it. I'm also really glad I took my friends advice to shoot in RAW and that I didn't delete my over/under exposed pics. I was able to fix a bunch of them :teeth

Downloaded the LR4 beta.

I'll start my 2012 catalog with it, and see how it goes. Hopefully they retain the $99 upgrade price from LR2.7
