Digital SLR / DSLR Camera Question / DSLR Thread 2

It was. :)

Looking at what I need/want right now, I think I'm gonna get a 14-24/2.8 and use it for Thanksgiving family reunion/etc.

(Can't get any of the super-telephotos with this deal, unfortunately) :laughing

Zypher, talk to us about your lighting for those. What did you use, softbox, umbrella, etc, how did you set it up, triggers, did you get the look you wanted, power, f/stops, ISO, continuous or strobe, what do you want to try differently, etc?

I can host them and provide a link if you need.

Lets play the "name that lens" game. (See attached pic)

I looked at the lens lineup for Canon and didn't see it. Dear Lord, that's a huge lens.

PS. What is the Vbulletin code to make the image attachment an inline image instead of a "click here to view" attachment? I would rather upload the image to BARF instead of Tinypic (so it's not a broken image when someone views it 2 years from now), but inline images are nicer than thumbnails.

I believe this is the only way to attach images now, unless hosted elsewhere.

Canon makes a bigger lens, sorta.

I think there's 10 in existence. Sports Illustrated owns 2 of them.

Could have tape around it, a different hood, etc. Could be an older version. Lots of possibilities. :dunno

(Maybe it's one of the rare "White Nikons") :laughing
