DIRTY BARF Trip; Stony? Dec 6th-8th?

Nice job on the preview. The enduro this weekend should have great conditions!

What size is your lil' Husky smoker?

Awesome scouting run and write-up! :thumbup

Thanks, guys! Yeah, conditions should still be good on the weekend if it doesn't get too warm or windy on Thursday and Friday. Hell, I wouldn't mind doing the Bear Foot. It was always one of my favorite family enduros.

My Husky WR125 got a factory 144 kit about a year after I got it. It is now a 165 :party Best dirt bike I've ever had...and I've had a few. I can chug around in the low RPM's like a little tractor or I can whack it open and scare myself silly with the very motocrossy top end. Love it. Best handling bike I've ever had, too. Very intuitive...think it and it happens almost effortlessly :ride

Dammit I wanna go.. sigh. So what's the story with accommodations? I could camp but that could get pretty damn cold. Getting my right leg working fully in time is another story, fell off a non-motarized 2 wheeler, got all contused.

Y'all got your nuts n bolts tightened? A little turkey n da bs hits the dirt

I'm so unprepared it isn't even funny... :(

Do you think there will be room for the kid to ride around the camp, or should I set up in Davis Flat?

Prepare? That's for boyscouts. I just wait to the last second and throw the gear bag in the truck... Otherwise you overthink it. And two strokes only need gas and oil.

Kids buzzing around camp is pretty annoying. Of course, if the bike is quiet, and the kid is small and slow, that is a different story. Kicking up dust riding around camp is not cool though.

There's a flat area just across the street along with some easy dirt road

I'll be in davis flat if anyone wants to ride. 299j, ktm 300xc.

Same here. Still haven't received my suspension components for my 250 back from the shop, and my 300 is torn apart at the moment. lol I'll be ready, though. I'll only have one bike, but I'll be ready. :thumbup

She is 6, still on training wheels. Yeah, I was hoping that there would be others with wifes/girlfriends or female barfers that like to ride so my wife could ride too.
How old is your kid again? You bringing the whole family? I may be bringing Brock(7) but not sure he's ready for somewhere like stony.

I think that there will be a couple of female riders along, SVJ. I fully expect to get smoked by at least one of them. :thumbup

I can try to bring my wife and she could ride the 100 but she is a fair weather biker and camper at this point so any hint of cold temps and I probably won't be able to talk her into it.

Ugh. The 300 is still in need of cylinder repair (I haven't sent it in yet), and the suspension for my 250 was supposed to have been done weeks ago. Just spoke with Dave Johnson at SMART Performance yet again this afternoon, and he gave me yet more excuses as to why they aren't ready yet. He promised to have them done on Wed, so I hope that this time he actually comes through. I gave him the forks and shock near the end of October. Ugh....

Now the question is whether or not I still attend if I don't get my bike back together in time, and just turn it into a camping/endurance drinking weekend instead....
