DIY Arcade machine

I'm playing SF4 already :p

Well if anyone comes across a nice WG 25" monitor and chasis or cabinet (for cheap) let me know.

Here is the major problem, I only have a motorcycle so I can't pick it up... :(

I would like to find Rampage or that drum game from Japan to stuff into the garage. :teeth

We have one and it wasnt very expensive. Get an empty cabinet on craigslist. We used my old flat screen CRT TV and built a new PC for it. Specs dont have to be crazy , anything modern will be fine.

Defiantly get http://www.xgaming.com/ arcade controllers they are really high quality and take a beating.

Software wise you should be able to find many premade MAME software packages on popular torrent sites. Ours has like 36k games of all kinds. Totally worth it , its a hit when we have partys.

if that guy still has the neo geo cab it's mine:teeth

not cool man i found it first! :x

if you snag it before me im am so gonna leave you neg rep!!!!

seriously i am gonna pick that cab up asap.

If anyone has a rare or protoype board, please let me know as I have the ability to dump ROMs. Not to distribute, for preservation only obviously. Just throwing that out there. Too many rare PCB/Jamma's are being destroyed these days.

using a flat screen tv works okay? how dose it work when you navigating the pc? i was looking for big montors i wanted to use an lcd. they are mroe expensive than i thoguht they would be.

Man that NeoGeo cab is a steal!!!

I worked in an arcade in my early 20's and spent many long nights putting cabinets and boards together and have just recently started thinking about buying my own machine. if that guy still has the neo geo cab it's mine:teeth

I did build some awsome ps2 arcade sticks not to long ago and plan on starting a xbox 360 wireless one this week so ill be ready when street fighter 4 comes out next week:party

I need/want a custom arcade stick for the 360 with all the nice components. Would you be willing to take orders? PM me if thats more appropriate.

Yea it works fine , the TV I have has pretty good image quality for a tube , its a Toshiba pure flat. Has shitloads of inputs too (intended for gaming)

its over priced , you can get a generic cabinet , slap some red and black paint on it and get a neo geo marquee for a fraction of that price.. :|

i need to put in some extra buttons and figure out how to get the jamma connector to talk to a computer and get a monitor of some sort in there. then clean it up a bit.

Sweet. I'm betting that was a SF:CE cabinet at one point... You can keep that monitor if you buy an ArcadeVGA card.

My loose boards include:
Karate Champ

I would be a lot more flush if I didn't insert like 9,000 quarters into Karate Champ back in the day. But DAMN I ruled that game at the local arcade in the '80s, king of kings. :laughing

ahh so you were the one, The guy emailed me back saying someone was coming to pick it up and if he flaked it was mine, I plotted all day on a way to make you flake:rofl

So I managed to get my hands on the plans for the Ultimate Arcade II from www.mameroom.com. If anyone wants them feel free to PM me, they look pretty solid.
