My knees have been having trouble doing back to back days...I really need the rest day in between rides, otherwise the pain gets worse.:|

You're gonna be havin' even more fun then me when you're 43. :laughing :laughing :laughing :twofinger

I am heading out to the Headlands on Friday. I am going to do some trails I have not done before. I saw them while I was out on my road bike and was salavating at them, so I have to check them out.

I just noticed a NEW bike shop opened up in the last couple weeks in my neighborhood. I stopped by yesterday and talked to the owner Shawn for a while. The San Jose Bike Club was having a little meeting which explained the 30 or more people hanging out at the shop. The website is "static", nothing to click on :p http://www.treadbikes.com

The store is catering to Road Biking, Mtn Biking, there's a few single speeds and Cyclocross bikes too all in the mid to upper end range it looks like.

Rain + Cold = SUCKS

I don't mind the rain. I actually enjoy the occassional "rain ride". :) But rain and cold make for nothing but a freezing, miserable time. :mad:thumbdown

I can't wait for a bit of warmth to blanket our trails so I can pedal again soon!! After doing everything you can/should on a cold, rainy weekend (clean house, fold laundry, veg out, have soup for dinner, watch every show on HD, surf for porn, etc) - I was bored outta my head! I even broke out the old Play Station 2 and played Tourist Trophy, Devil May Cry 2 and Resident Evil: Veronica Code X!!

Rain... I'm watching you...

+1 on that, time to head back to the gym......I'll tell you what though I sure don't miss being so sore after going to the gym. I suppose I'm gonna have to hit a few spin classes as well :(

I run outdoors when it rains. Did a 4-miler yesterday and my legs are feeling it today:laughing

It can be comfortable so long as you have the proper rain gear.

Good way to catch a cold if you ask me! :p

Seems easier to catch a cold riding in cold / wet weather with the wind factor.

I've been good timing my runs and road bike rides for breaks in the rain. Trail rides, I always have to recable after a rain ride - my red bike still shifts funny after that Tamarancho race where half of it was in a light shower. Makes me not even want to bother with it.

I usually run 3 to 4 miles every M-W-F. Wednesday is always a group run outside as I "PT" (physical training) with my troops (military) in the morning. Sadly, because it is cold and dark before I get out of work, my Mon/Fri runs have been relegated to the gym on the treadmill. I just use this time to work in sprints and interval training - T/Th are for weight training. However, I live for the weekends - where I can put in a good ride every Saturday morning. I'm not left much choice. :(

Snowboarding anyone? :teeth

:rant

You don't catch colds from being exposed to rain/cold -- you get it from a virus:|

I haven't been sick in years -- and I used to always swim in the bay and run in the rain -- I rarely catch colds.

Snowboarding anyone? :teeth

Let's hit the snow! When?
