Musta been a slow news day... which I guess is good news!
If ya don't stink, ya don't stink. I don't care how you got there. Maybe it involved pit-stick, maybe it didn't. Problem seems to be that folks that don't smell good often aren't aware of it, and naturally, addressing this is a delicate issue that can result in embarrassment and hurt feelings. But if you just wore the pit-stick, then we wouldn't have to have this convo...ya know? I get the thing against chemicals, I totally do. I hate that we're all so uptight that a little b.o. can turn into a whole H.R. "thing" but it's the reality. Who wants to walk into someone's office to discuss business where it smells like sweat and peanut butter? Odors matter, particularly in a business setting. And I'm not advocating for the entire place reeking of Axe either. It should just smell neutral, with maybe a little curry and hamburgers around lunch time, but otherwise odors just shouldn't be something that my nose or brain needs to process.
I have a woman that works for me that isn't a pleasant smelling person. She's openly told us all how she doesn't wear deoderant, and the discussion just ends on awkward quiet. She's nice and she does good work, but everyone was real happy when she became a permanent remote employee.
