Do you wear a watch?

If anyone is interested i am thinking of selling my steinhart ocean one vintage. I've had it for about 6-8 months and with my newest purchase i don't need it. It still has about 2 years left on the warranty:

I have the one with the leather strap ( never used) and also have a used leather nato + used grey nato strap.

I'm not looking to make any money but just not take a monstrous hit. Let me know and we can work something out with barf getting 1% :D

The new Portuguese are all in house movements i think.

still can't justify it without the boatload.

I mean

Its jewelry

I believe only the 7 day is in-house. That may be the previous generation though.

Changed the strap:

I have a lighter one coming in that i believe will work better.

Pierre, take it to the next level with SEL:

It's barely been a week and I'm looking at other watches :laughing
Tissot Visodate, Seiko SARB65, Seiko SDGM003, or something else...under $1K.

Well the last Seiko is beautiful too. I guess that's a 'Teatime' with a black face and a metal strap.

or the Hamilton Jazzmaster Skeleton? I'm interested in skeletons, just concerned about being able to read the dang thing.

Skeletons look too busy to me. I prefer the "open heart" style watches:

Also, my Hamilton is off by 10 seconds a day. I guess that's pretty good. I wonder if it will get better in the future or if mechanical watch "break-in" is a myth.

10 seconds off could be an issue. You can take it to a watch repair and get it calibrated (adjusted) so that it's more accurate.

Thanks! That's very informative.

Well according to Beauregard's link, 10 seedling seconds is within a very horrible spec and it takes up to a month to break in. I'll test it out in a few weeks and if it hasn't improved by then I'll get it regulated.

It seems like everyone on this forum likes dress watches lol

I definitely do.
I've never been into the dive watches or anything with the metal bracelet to be honest.

I like dress watches or Pilot watches

Dive watches look nice, just not on me :). Also I have small wrist (~6"), so it's a no go for me.

Same size wrist. Wore a 46mm big pilot no problem. Currently wear 42.5 and 44.

I love using the rotating bezel on dive watches although I do love dress watches as well. Only issue is that dress watches only look great when you're dressed up while dive watches always look good. Btw I hate metal straps in general.
