Do you wear a watch?

Ate a whole slice of Hula Pie with double fudge tonight for dinner and twenty minutes later in a sugar coma bought this:

Nice. Can't quite tell from the photo. Is that two-tone? That's next on my shopping list. TT sub with serti dial. Until I get the platinum prez that'll be my baller watch.

My SS sub is getting serviced and I've been wearing my old president lately and I gotta say I really like the classic look but I miss my sub.

I like it! Clean simple design. :thumbup

Thanks! Never should have gotten rid of my first one.

That's a beautiful tank man, and if it stokes you that's all that matters. In fact, in this world where all of us carry phones that have an accurate clock, stoke is the only reason to wear a watch.

Thanks. There's something irreplaceable about wearing a watch. Congrats on your new Sub as well! What else do you have in your collection? I see you have a GMT as well.

Very nice... the mechanical is so clean and simple!

Yep, one of the simpler watches out there. I really like it due to its thinness. You have to drop a lot of money to get an automatic watch as thin as some of the inexpensive mechanical watches.

So I had to pull the trigger...

I'm planning on getting a nice beige/brown leather nato strap for it soon.

Congrats! Very classy. Looking forward to pics of it with a Nato strap. I love Natos... have them on all my watches except my plastic G-Shocks. :teeth

I have one on the way for the Hamilton as well.

@cookie, I had a similar hamilton which i gave to my dad ( he wears it constantly), you picked a great watch for the price.

I'm stoked to get a NATO strap also, I have a NATO on my steinhart and with the vintage vibe this watch gives you it should work well. I just need to figure out what color would match the dial markings the best.

wohoo my Seiko SARX017 arrived yesterday. My first real watch, I like it :D

White gold and steel

For all your swagger you buy some really boring and standard pieces that will last throughout your grandchildren's lifetimes

FTFY. Also, form follows function. That Sub can get run over by a truck and might get a couple of scratches. Maybe.

Damn, that's a pretty speedmaster. One of the most underrated watches out there for the watch geek. Someone should pick this up right now.

SOLD :cry

watches have moved away from being a utilitarian tool to a symbol of wealth. I personally love the watches that are practical for everyday use or the watches that are quiet with ridiculous engineering tucked away.

On another topic,

I've always wondered how people lose the box and papers for their watches...

Yeah yeah.... They are nice watches for sure. JUST saying. Hell, I have the Omega PO you sold me, it's pretty standard issue too. But it was my first watch. I actually like the design more than those diver circles too. :twofinger

Now, I want something like that zenith, a little dressier and stuff. Dive watches really look like shit with suits I am deciding. I like wearing it when not at work more...

Dive watches look just fine with a suit if you wear the proper strap with it.

Haven't you seen james bond?

I think dive watches look fine with a suit. Not as good as a dress watch, but I don't think it looks bad either.

Then again, I've worn plastic G-Shocks while wearing a suit so you probably shouldn't take fashion advice from me...
