Do you wear a watch?

A man with one watch knows the time. A man with many watches is never sure.

1. I didn't pay for the apple watch.
2. I simply want to know more about the technology.
3. Don't judge me. :laughing

There's a Richard Mille store at the Aria hotel in Vegas. Gonna have to pop in there with my pleb Apple Watch on and see if they'll let me check that thing out.

Probably not. Bet if you're not a known celebrity/1%er type person, all the merch stays under lock and key in there. With an armed guard nearby as well.

So I did go in there this weekend. I was wearing a suit and holding a bag from Tiffanys, so maybe they took me serious for a moment. They showed me a diamond encrusted version of this which she said "is six forty eight" so casually, i thought she was telling me the price of the special at Outback Steakhouse.

I could never appreciate Richard Mille. They remind me of Swatches from the 80s. If I were a multi-millionaire and looking to waste some dough, this is the watch I'd spend it on:

Until then, I like Seikos. :)

Not watch pron so a little off-topic, or maybe not, I haven't read all 40 pages. Any watch geeks know a good vintage watch repair guy in East Bay? I have a late 60s/early 70s Omega Seamaster from my grandfather's stuff, want to get it working. Too beat up to be worth much, but has sentimental value, would be a nice daily driver.

Rob's big ass watch pic reminded me that I bought a big ass watch myself... under $50, but the dang thing is about 5.5 centimeters in diameter. (& I have pretty stout wrists/arms.)

You might actually have a really nice watch depending on the year / features. You should try the omega dealership first and see if the factory will fix it for you. It might not be more than 500-1k.

Thanks, will try there. From the little research I've done, it's the basic SS model Seamaster automatic, probably late-60s/early 70s. So not hugely valuable, but I hope to keep it in the family.
