I have a seiko that's basically man-jewelry. only wear it on special occaissions.

my wife recently bought me an apple 3 42mm that I'm really liking a lot. I haven't settled on a watch face yet, but I'm really liking the one where it gives me a random picture in my photo folder each time I look at it. Great watch and very useful as an everyday thang.

Any of you fops wear a pocket watch?

I had one that I loved but I was too nervous to just keep it in my pocket, so I got a belt clip/carabiner. but then I couldn't see the time good enough because it was too far from my face. I suppose if I got a belt clip with a retractable cord on it, it would have worked better. but all in all I prefer one on my wrist vs. one in my pocket or belt.

I used to when I commuted by moto. None of my gloves would fit comfortably over watches, so I git a pocket watch from a friend who sold replica watches. It was no more convenient than looking at the clock on a cell phone. Would recommend unless you have some scenario where a pocket watch would obviously be handy.

I'm considering one just to wear for fancy dress-up time (with a vest). I'd want something that doesn't look cheap and keeps time reliably. Maybe vintage but I'm poor so that probably rules it out.

i'd bet you could find some good deals on ebay. Vintage watches can often be much better deals than new.
