Espresso maker

hey you, (littlebeast) I just received this, based on some Turkish cooking website I visited recently. I will never use all of it; I could put half the can in a Ziplock baggie and mail it to you if you wish. PM if interested. IF anyone else is interested feel free to chime in.

Woo. Can the counter hold it up?

Yeah, it will. My last machine was 92 lbs (42 Kg). Pretty much of the machines in this class are at least 50 lbs. There isn't a lot of plastic on these machines and they claim they are rated for light commercial use, although I wouldn't put that claim to the test. One thing you have to be careful with any espresso machine is the water quality. Hard water will destroy them and softened water will change the taste for the worst. I strictly use bottled water, but. not distilled water.

this is sold at many 'ethnic' stores and some eateries. JFYI

"do you have an e-bike?" literally a purpose to ride and buy something FWIW BTW

You do know there are no real standards for bottled water so it could just be water put into a bottle using a hose from a spigot in the corner of a warehouse somewhere.

Yeah, I know. I used to work in the QC lab for a beverage company where I had to test and release bottled water, when I first got out of college. :) The water where I live is very very hard, so anything is better than the tap water. You also need to run a de-scaling of your espresso machine on a regular basis.

I use RO water, as we have the system and our local water tastes bad. The espresso machine nags me to descale every x shots, so I do, but it probably isn't accumulating much of anything.

apologies - just saw this. and if still available, yes, i’d like to get it (will send you the address). no worries if it’s not, i’ll order some. i tried the pot and method with fine ground coffee - great beans, but not great for what i was expecting. am finally circling back because the coffee maker arrived (like, a month late - first shipment got lost over the holidays, and they had to re-ship).

My Rocket Bicocca. It's a nice machine but honestly, the espresso isn't any better than my last machine, but this one has a lot more features and settings you can adjust. Almost any home espresso is going to be better than what you get at Pete's or Starbucks.
