Not really. Some do for sure without all the makeup and what not but others are nothing short of gorgeous. I went high school with one and she did not look like a man in any way shape or form other than she was very tall.

Sounds like he is living in reality to me. I am surprised that so many guys here are surprised that women tend to favor tall guys. All my lady friends are very honest in that they strongly prefer a tall guy for multiple reasons. Next up on BARF revelations...guys prefer women in shape who know how to cook.

I'm 5-11. One of my exes, was 4-10- maybe 90 lbs, proportional anyway. Never an issue about height, other than, "You're so large....." . Yeah right, you tell all the guys that. That pissed her off, "What do you mean, all the guys?"

But my wife is 5-8. I can't push her around like my ex, she's very strong. But she has this attitude about short(er) people. She finds them very unattractive. She thinks Nicole Kidman was nuts to date Tom Cruise. I don't know where it came from. We've got a large population of Salvadorans, Guatamalans, those real little guys from south of Mexico, a lot of the are barely 4-6. And I can see they bug her when they are around, "Where are we, the circus?"

I assume a lot of people are like this.

Your title, Why dating sucks. Says a lot. Sounds like you go into it with a negative attitude. When I was dating, and its been about 10 years, I always had a real positive attitude about it, and it usually worked out well. The chick worried about how tall you are, well, there's probably a reasin she is still single.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with this... she may favor taller guys but excluding yourself from the competition based on your own preconceived notions as to what women want... that's where dubs failed.

He set himself up for failure by assuming she would not be interested in him due to his height. He forced it to be an issue before they even met. He failed himself.

I also assume she went into this "date" with different expectations then he did. They were both setup by their mothers on the premise they would get along and might be interested in each other. She possibly took it as an opportunity to get out the house and have some fun. It appears he took it as she was looking for a relationship. Once he contacted her and said "if my lack thereof height is an issue, let me know before we even meet" she ran.
