After a Few years riding Dirt on a 250x, I am thinking about making the transition to street.

I really Like the body style of the Ducatti Monster 620, however I read they are expensive to maintain. Is there another Manufacturer that makes a similar body style, I was looking at the Bandit 400 are there any others?

Sorry this is my first post; i am a long time lurker. this is the BEST moto website anywhere. It is time a contribute. Honda is going but I am keeping the Duc.

Mur, I have not found my Duc expensive to maintain. there is so much info and DIY vids out there that I had no problem checking valves and maintaining. plus the nakedness of it makes it easy to tinker with.

The Ninjette is a great way to get started. I'm loving every mile so far!

The green looks good Nate! Mine kind of sounds like it's on crack. I'm thinking about going back to a stock muffler.

I'm in... when and where? :teeth Meet up in Milpitas and ride Calaveras road?

I don't know of any youtube vids of that setup, but it's LOUD. If we ride, you can check it out in person and see what you think.

i think mine is loud too, WITH SILENCERS! wtf?! :wtf

btw, im jealous of your NEWER and BLUE 250, aaron.

Thanks Ed. The new body style does make the bike look pretty cool, but I hear that the previous generation has a better top end.

When I turned 17 I bought an R6, I did just fine with it, no previous dirt bike or street bike experience. I wouldn't get a 250cc bike though, IMO they are dangerously slow... You won't have enough power to get out of a crazy drivers way...
