It tells you how much fuel you have left, your mpg, and distance to empty.

I want one for sport touring, just like how I used to want a 'Bus or 1100XX for that same purpose.

everyone knows the ZX12R's are faster AND better looking than the Busa's!707Kawasaki said:speaking of aliensnever cared for the looks of the busa the new 14 isnt the best look bike out thier, but it looks good, would rather be caught riding it that than the busa. Eathier way both bikes are too much for me(and most people for that matter).

Travis said:Its interesting that the busa guys brag about their bikes being [slightly] faster than the ZX12R. They rarely mention the 100cc advantage the busa had over the ZX12R even though the power and speed/acceleration difference was very minimal.
On the other hand, I have heard many times that the ZX14 "should" be faster since it has a bigger (50cc) engine and the actual difference in speed/acceleration is only minimal.

Don't know why Kawasaki short changed the 14, but they have always done that, even with my 1983 GPZ 750, it was really a 738 when at the time everyone else's 750 was a 749. My zx11 was really a 1052, go figure???
Travis said:I really doubt my bike will ever see the track. I bought it as a sport touring bike (although I will probably keep making performance improvements).
I don't think of the ZX14 as a short-changed 14. I think of it as an overacheiving 13![]()
Travis said:I bought the ZX14 because I liked the machine. The "bragging rights" mean nothing to me. I don't ride for ego reasons. I just like the machines.
As I stated, it will probably never see the track. I will continue to make performance improvements because there is nothing else I want to do with my money (can't take it with you) and I like to work on bikes. I'm a K-Tech (Kawaski) and FAST (Suzuki) certified mech. Now that I have a non-motorcycle related career, the only time I get to work on bikes is when they are my own![]()
