*Liam's Wild Ride*

Darby has some fun nightlife, if not very interesting. The normal college bars/pubs, and some dance clubs, and the girls can really put the drinks away. Seriously. I've never seen women drink so much and so fast. It was like a weird kind of race. They're definitely a different breed out here. As always, I try to support those who support the sport I love.

I'll see your regular Peroni Blue Ribbon and raise you a Rossi Championship Edition!!! :)

Well, maybe not quite like in Spain, but I'm looking forward to spending time with the Barfers and everyone else at the USGP, and beyond!

haha, forgot to show these cool little boxes of sprinkles that the Dutch put on their breakfast toast. There were about four or five types of sprinkles at the hotel breakfast bar, but I didn't try any of them. Because the Dutch had normal breakfast cereal!!!!!!!

I lived in Denmark during middleschool, and I remember those things. They were awesome, it was like eating candy at breakfast- you had to slather the bread in butter so the sprinkles would stick. mmm, buttered chocolate!

Hey Liam, Rick and I have Pit Suite Seats. Do you want me to bring anything to the track? Foodwise? Drinkwise? Anything elsewise?

I guess I'll be in #8. Ticket says PRS-8. I'll stop by. My name is Sherwin.

Pheew! Just managed to get caught up on this thread. A couple of real busy weeks and it takes a couple of hours to find out where Liams up to.:laughing
Liam, my apologies for the rude Brits. Manners and tolerance can be in short supply in some places. Glad to hear you've managed to get work in the MotoGP circus.
See you at the Blue Fin.:thumbup

I have been eating those since I could eat solid food.

Guessed it helped that my grandparents were Dutch.

Any way, you can get them at stores here in the US as well, one down the street from me. There are also a lot more than just 5-6, at leas 10 different types for breakfast.

Yummy.

Hi guys,

I'm going to try and cram as much information as possible into this post, because my laptop's hardrive is failing and I don't know how much longer I'll be able to use my machine. Factor in that in three/four days I'm going to be headed to Germany for a week, and then going directly to the USGP, and there's just no time or way for me to get it replaced. Not to mention my financial situation, haha. Ok, first topic to hit upon are the MotoLiam T-shirts:

Shirts: 30 USD, includes 2 MotoLiam stickers

Stickers: 5 USD

It may seem a little high, but this run is really small (and smaller runs are more expensive per shirt to print up) and I didn't want to make something limited if there were going to be a ton of them available. To me, limited means limited, which in turn means special - especially since we're all going to have a chance to party together at the Blue Fin at what I'm sure will be one of the highlights of the USGP06 for me.

------------------------------------------------------

I'm still trying to get ahold of some LE rims for Kenny's Supersport entry at the USGP. We've had some bites and emails, but I haven't been able to reach him (he's in Albacete for the Formula Extreme race this weekend). I'm sure he's going to get in touch with me later today, and we'll be calling everyone who's contacted us concerning the wheels. That means I'm still looking!

--------------------------------------------------------
Next? www.motoliam.com is online now. We're still working out a couple bugs, but overall I am extremely pleased by what we've been able to put together, and this is just the start of what I hope is going to be a cool place to visit on the web! I'm working on the links/extras/and merchandising areas, and eventually these will be filled with downloadable videos, music, and more. Most people have a hard time figuring out what makes me tick, and the short answer is music. It's a huge part of my life, and one of the main things I want to be able to share more of with people. I have specific songs that identify a period of time for me, and in turn, I have songs that fit perfectly with the races and places I've been to.

--------------------------------------------------------

Coming up, two more races within two weeks. I'm so excited about coming home for the USGP, it hasn't even registered that there's a German race before that. I'm stressing out trying to figure out the details of my stay following the race, and deciding what kinds of things I'm going to be packing. One thing is for sure, and that is I will be spending time in SF for more than a week after the race! I expect to run into quite a few of you at Alice's, and I'll be visiting some of the Barfspots around the Bay Area, so look sharp. Do I hear a Boba tea run in Cupertino? Damn right I do!

----------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure there are some people I haven't managed to get back with, but believe me, I've been trying to stay on top of emailing people back. This latest urgency for the R1 LE rims has consumed some time, and yesterday's computer meltdown didn't help, either. But, I know you're out there.

Uktech: yeah . . . . . . Brits :laughing

MadDawg: Food! Bring lots of good finger foods that we can snack on in the box in the afternoon! I don't care what, sweets, crispy skin pork, lumpia, you make the call!

MilleRBoy: You know, I love having Barfers get involved. VooVoo is an oldtime member (some of you won't know her), and I think she's going to be just right for you know what. Anyone want to second my decision to have VooVoo be one of our umbrella girls at the USGP?

-------------------------------------------------------------

Seems like the latest issue of Road Racer X has hit the streets a little earlier than I anticipated, complete with this little blurb! I am feverishly trying to get as much done in the shortest amount of time, so people bear with me. Everything is happening that much faster for me now, and I'm still trying to get adjusted. Jumping aboard a MotoGP team midseason is hard enough, but trying to continue with some of my other pursuits simultaneously is really making things reach critical mass. I'm really hoping my computer holds out until I get to California, but if not, Oh Well! Keep your fingers crossed, and buy some shirts and stickers please.

A man of many hats

I'm very happy to be the owner of this RRX hat - one of only two in existence! I've always maintained that you need the right tool to do the right job, and when I'm working on RRX missions, I like to be have all my bases covered. Thanks Chris.
Even more rare? Me in glasses!

Liam, how much weight have you lost since moving out?! damn. I swear you're not eating much out there...

Forza Italia!

Whew, a nice, hectic weekend. I'm trying to make some special souvenirs for people, get my things together (as I'll be on the road for a month), and crank some things out on my website, www.motoliam.com

First off, congratulations to Italy, on winning the World Cup! In honor of that achievement, may I present you with this! You just couldn't escape the World Cup fever, and like millions of others around the world, I tuned in. A little. There's just so much life out there to be had instead of sitting in front of a tv.

And Stan23, according to my research on Myspace, drinking Diet sodas works! Actually, I've lost between 10 and 15 pounds since moving out here, and I'm in the best shape of my adult life. There's something about the basic foods, and all the walking, that does something to you. Also, I've eaten at an American fastfood place only once since I've been out here. In November. Judging from some of the BBQ pictures I've seen, it looks like you guys are eating well. . . . . Save some for me!

I'm coming back in just over a week, and I'm having trouble packing everything I think I'll need. Chances are, I'm going to pack as light as possible, because I'll be working in Germany for a week before heading back to the states. If I forget something, I'm going to be asking you guys for assistance, so thanks in advance if it comes to that.

Here's a neat Ebay Auction . It's a benefit/charity that is somehow related to Rider's for Health, and there's a ton of MotoGP stuff and some F1 items up for grabs, too. Very cool, and surprisingly, some of the prices are way cheap. The Adam Raga trials bike is about a third of what it's worth, if I remember correctly. Oh, and lots of the GP stuff for sale is actual race-winning gear, like Dovi's boots, or Bautista's piston, things like that. But you better hurry, because there's only a couple days left to bid.

Had a nice long walk today, soaking in the sights and smells of Barcelona. I'm going to be out of the city for a while (but still paying rent :cry ) and it was good to get some fresh, beach air, and hang out. It looks like I'm going to be putting in a long night tonight, so I'm off to the gas station for another 2 litres of Coca Cola. Light. There's no diet here, just "light".

In the meantime, start preparing yourselves for the USGP, and the post GP revelry. Keep an eye out, and if you see this flash by, give a little honk and a wave.
MotoLiam is coming home.
