McRib

Funny, I haven't really like the Quarter Pounder since they went "fresh". Dunno what the difference is, but I just find them tasteless blobs now.

I've switched to the Big Mac as my McD burger of choice now, and I NEVER ate the Big Mac before. My first one was a year or so ago, after they changed the Quarter Pounder.

Aye, I heard Wendy's is now #2.

Because I was there and saw the $5 duo, I got a Whopper Jr. BBQ bacon cheese and bacon swiss cheese. Both were identical, and now I feel ill.

Prolly tastes bad cuz less salt. Can’t pre-salt raw meat due to sweating unless it gets frozen. Prolly they shake on same amount but is formulated to shake on more during cooking. Online says two small have more salt than one quarter pounder. I get my salt intake plus some from the fries. Even those are different now.

Really sucks how American fast food is significantly better in some other countries.

I tried my first QP ever last year, really disgusting. McDonalds burgers are only good in small format. I make my quality big Mac with two small smash burgers and proper other ingredients

Little trick I discovered, can be used for fresh but especially day old McNuggets....deep fry them again for 50-60 seconds, or air fry at 400 for 2-4 minutes after spraying...they might be even better than the originals. They turn golden brown vs. golden.

Psst - hey - why not cook food at home? Emphasis on food.

Now post the photo of yours :)

:laughing

Looks good...but not a McRib...

McRib is only seasonal for a reason. ;)

I had a single in a moment of weakness.. it was good!!!

Way better than the McFib :twofinger

Excellent. :cool:thumbup

Interesting, I find the updated fresh QP to be pretty damn good.Way better than the standard patties IMO. I've tried to order a Big Mac with quarter pounder patties, but they wouldn't let me. :thumbdown

The KFC in Costa Rica is way better, the chicken almost has a home-made taste to it. I went there at least 3 times during a 1 week trip.

The McDonalds in Thailand has FRIED chicken breasts/drumsticks/wings and it is easily better than KFC/Popeyes. I wonder why it isn't available in the US? Maybe a deal between the restaurants because it would probably put KFC and Popeyes out of business in the USA.

It really depends on how each restaurant is managed, some McDonalds have cold nasty food but some are consistently better, hotter, "fresher", faster and nicer service. Unfortunately the McDonald's that's 2 minutes away from me isn't a good one. :(

Trying to call fast food "not food" doesn't make it any less real food. It's real whether the haters like it or not.

I don't call anything food unless it is fresh and unprocessed.

Nothing frozen, nothing in cans or boxes. Unless it is fresh unmodified food, it is just that garbage I like to eat, not real food.

When I was a kid, my mom would bring home the nuggets en masse as she was buying happy meals for all the beanie babies.

This was pre-air fryer days, but i'd line them up on a cookie sheet and bake them in the oven. They were way better than "fresh" right from McD's.

Also tons of Chains IMO changed things for the worse.

1) Wendy's changing biggie fries to whatever sup par thing they are now, which leads into..
2) Wendy's no longer offering Vanilla Frosties in which to dip said biggie fries in. The old fries held up, the newer ones don't.
3) Carls JR getting rid of crinkle fries.....
4) Arby's changed their fries in a similar fashion to Wendy's

5) Wendy's downsizing their burgers, fries and frosties.

But isn't everything being hit by the shrinkflation beam?
