McRib

McNuggets are food for the perennial toddler palate, cuz everyone knows Wendy’s are better, jk.

I’d be insulted if it wasn’t true. Except the Wendy’s part. Though the spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy’s is top tier.

I go to Safeway and just kind of take a step back and look what’s in the cart before checking out. And I swear it’s as if you gave a little kid a credit card. There’s never anything healthy or grown up unless my wife put it on a list. Only crap missing is Lucky Charms and Fruit Roll Ups.

The poultry producers figured out that the birds weighed more without antibiotics and they could save the med money. The birds they have to remove are for the feed production. Have a friend with some poultry houses who says the wild birds wont touch the commercial feed, which is likely made with every dead bird and byproduct. There is a Tyson feed plant down the road from my friend’s farm which plumes and rains down weird ashes all around,
reminiscent of a crematoria I once lived near. The ‘live’ caged chicken trucks en route to slaughter typically have many already dead ones, feet up. Very stinky. Saves time? McNuggets are food for the perennial toddler palate, cuz everyone knows Wendy’s are better, jk.

I believe the chicken is the most abused animal on the planet. Or maybe dairy cows. I stopped drinking milk after viewing the milk documentary and basically stopped eating beef (I cheat a little). I’m kind of “chickened out,” but like beef, will cheat a little. I eat chicken or beef once every 2-3 months. BUT, that doesn’t count a visit to Mick D because we all know they don’t use beef in their burgers lol

Safeworst… I shop there along with Wholepaycheck, TJ’s, Sprouts, etc. Every time I walk into Safeworst my first impression is they don’t have food here. All I see are boxes. You’ve reminded me I often look at what others buy when I’m in checkout. A shopper’s BMI correlates with what they’re buying.

PS - I may have to check out Wendy’s chicken sammie. Their chili is very good!

Rarely is there ever a box of anything in my shopping cart. Can’t think of anything right now but there’s probably something in a box occasionally. I don’t buy chips, cookies, cereal, frozen packages…
It all living food, fruits and vegetables being considered alive at that point according to some. Or just recently dead chicken and beef.

Something like 70% of humans are lactose intolerant to some degree. Cows' milk is for baby cows.

highly recommend Quest protein chips. Its like you’re cheating but you’re not. Check the macros. Avail at Target.

Don’t see a reason to eat that. For such a snack I’d prefer pulling a few leafs off a raw head of cabbage.

Odd to hail health food on a McRib thread so back to bad…milk products, which i avoid but love. Only species to drink milk into adulthood, only to drink the milk of another species. It is not your grandmother’s milk. Its the pasteurization and the lactose, esp if one is of indigenous or asian descent. Cooking denatures the proteins, kinda like how egg white changes when cooked. Except the milk proteins become more indigestible. Thus they took out the worst one and call it A2 milk. When granny took a hot cloth to clean the udder and a clean pail out there…But the apparatus in ag today with the tubes etc and the pooling of sources all day in a tanker requires boiling to kill the bugs. CA has legal raw Milk that must have fewer bugs than the cooked. We have the way but not the will, even to buy the costlier, cleaner, more digestible one. My milk truck driver friend said he has choices where to offload: best milk day goes to fresh cartons, milk a bit off to soft cheeses, way off to hard cheeses, stinkiest milk ever goes to powdered and straight to our babies (after mixed with Caro + chemical ‘vitamins’ )and all other baked goods. Rant over. Sorry for the threadjack but…it’s junk too

lolwut. People are lactose intolerant because they don't have enough lactase present in the small intestine to break down the lactose in milk before digestion.

Still not related to the topic of this thread, but still...

"As might be expected, lactase activity is typically highest at birth, and most infants can digest lactose. The big issue with lactose digestion is that almost three quarters of the human population experience a gradual drop in lactase production, especially between 3 and 5 years of age (Ugidos-Rodriguez et al., 2018), with levels dropping to about 10% of what they were as a baby. Only about one quarter of adults retain the ability to effectively digest lactose into adulthood."

That's not that many adults, really.

https://extension.psu.edu/lactose-i...ter of,rather the individual's genetic makeup.

All are correct. Human milk has galactose and also different catalysts which also diminish with age. A2 milk has one denatured protein removed. Fermented products as in India have lower lactose cuz the bugs ate it. All potentially more digestible to wash down that McRib.

Dafuq is all this milk talk? You only wash down a McRib at McDonalds with Coke. Coke tastes fantastic at McDonalds. And I’m pretty sure we covered why it’s better there already in this thread.

Dr. Pepper is superior in all ways to Coke. :x

You ain’t wrong. And I sometimes still go the pride of Plano, Texas when I go to Mickey D’s. But that McDonald’s exclusive Coke just hits the spot sometimes and I’ve just gotta do it.
