McRib

Would I have another? Yes but the game plan is to order two next time. I’ll take the meat from one and shove it into the second McRib then toss the bun from the first.

No no. Just order it with bacon if you want more meat.

Or, perhaps get the second McRib. But take the bottom half of the bun and the meat and make a Big Mac style McRib. Haven’t tried this one, but if you don’t, I probably will this coming week.

I haven't had head cheese in some time, but the kind I did have I actually liked. I don't know if it was universal, but it was pretty good.

Oscar Mayer used to sell head cheese in deli case next to hot dogs in there little yellow packages, but I have not seen it in some time (and I don't think it was OM head cheese that I was trying).

Never had head cheese. I remember seeing those Oscar Mayer packages of the stuff and always used to think it looked disgusting.

Ya'll made me try a McRib.

There was something 'off' about it. Not the odd texture, the white bread or the sauce. Just an odd taste. An hour later I came down with a headache and felt queasy. Two hours later the headache had morphed into a migraine. Took 24 hours to feel normal again.

I'm guessing preservatives used to extend shelf life or, worse, contaminated food product used in the sandwich.

And the air around the franchise I purchased from reeked of burned cooking oil.

Well, ya' got me. I won't fall into that trap again.

It’s 2:26 am. I just woke up. Ugh. My gut. Does Kaiser pump stomaches 24/7?

Interesting hack.

I may try this hack, which you may find blasphemous, order a McRib and Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Toss the McRib meat and ATF to a stray dog along with the quarter pounder’s buns, then insert the quarter pounder’s innards between the McRib buns. And pair that with extra
crispy fries and a cold cup of seasonal Coca Cola 2021.

Feel free to place me on ignore :twofinger

Thank you all for these excellent reviews. I have not had a MickyRib. I think I’ll keep it that way.

Last time I McRibbed, I ordered two and just ate them both as they came. Felt overfull all day afterwards. I think I might do this again, but just yeet the bread on one of them and enjoy the double meat/double pickle/double mess McRib.

Y'all are wimps. I've had diagnosed IBS and IBD since I was 14 years old and I can still eat McRibs without an issue. There's far "fresher" stuff (like Shitpotle) that fucks me up every single time and yet McRibs, or anything from McD's has never caused a flare up. :dunno

Got another one on the way home last night. :cool

I have been well conditioned to eat this crap. A long life of my body is a temple garbage can.

The Super Size me guy? He was like a borderline vegan and exercising regularly before he started his month long experiment. So of course McDonalds broke him.

Hey, my body *IS* a temple.

The temple:

Despite the fact that I do not cook anything more complex than PB&J, I do enjoy watching Sam from time to time.

Not the first time he’s fancified the McRib either.

and my count sits at 14 now.

Yummy. Give me that restructured meat product made from heart, tripe and scalded stomach.

Not naming the other 70 ingredients that make up a McRib sammie.

Someone with a butcher background told me that Micky had a process where they behead, skin and gut the cow then grind up the rest to make burgers. Meat to bone etc ratios were within FDA guidelines.

I don't remember that from reading Fast Food Nation, but processes might have changed in the last twenty years or so since it was written. One of my favorite pards was learning about the tool they use to cut potatoes into fries. The Water Gun Knife.

That's a badass sounding tool.

They throw away the skin? Shit, Grandma told me the skin is the best part.
