Naming your motorcycle

I'm with you on this one.

I've never named a motor vehicle. :x

Threadjack.

We did name our fish however.

Jessie, Walt and Mike...from Breaking Bad.

Can you tell which one's which? :laughing

My children and pets get names. My general rule is that if you call out the name, "whatever" the name is attached to should be able to at least recognize the name. I've never had a motor vehicle do that. Or a fish for that matter.

Never have named any of bikes - or cars. My Land Rover "came with" a name, so I've used it to refer to it by that since the previous owner did, but only occasionally.

I may call my bikes names (such as "the beast") but that's more of a description than a name, and I use it interchangeably with what the bike is ("ZX" or "GSXR" or "the R6" etc).

Heck, I've been known to "un-name" my bikes if someone had previously given it a name....

I don't know what I'd call it, really. I never really named my vehicles other than more or less a nickname. Like the KLR was always called the standard KiLleR. My GF called it Norman (Bates, playing on the Killer) and a few weeks later it tried to kill me. :x She's been asked to refrain from naming my motorcycles from now on. :laughing

I do call my GS Adventure the super tanker or sometimes the Exxon Valdez and the F650GS gets called Minime sometimes but that's really about it.

I only named the Bandit. Poncho Villa cause it's a bad mofo and nobody will mess with it. I think I'm the only one crazy enough to ride it. :)

Never named them but I do talk to them. I promised my TBS that I would keep here forever.

Nope, I don't name them, I'm not gay. Not that I'm judging you or anything. Not much.

Come on, its a joke, lighten up.

The RT's name is Zoe, the Red Tank. Zoe is also a red-coated big Arabian mare at the barn. The RT is red and a tank compared to the CBR. And the initials R.T.

Zoe, the Red Tank.

Mine all had names when I got them;
Caponord, R69S, R100RT....

Hmmm Never thought to name "her". But now that you mentioned it, she came factory as DS... Heh heh, en Français, the pronunciation is "Déesse" ( deh-esse ) which of course means Goddess or mythical divinity.

How about that for a name of my e-bike !!!! :laughing :teeth :thumbup

I am call her Déesse from now on !!!

I've named all my motorcycles....
I've also forgotten all their names....

My XS400 "cafe/bobber" was so butchered by the PO, even down to the shitty leatherwork on the rear solo seat that it just begged me to call it "Buttface McNasty". And that's pretty much the only bike I've ever named.

I call my Buell "Bastard", but not as a name. It's just a fightly little guy.
