Naming your motorcycle

Lol, some really funny responses and some good ones. Thanks for the posts...I suppose it doesn't make a difference. I haven't named mine yet, but I suppose if I did, probably "Zeus" LoL

My Hypermotard has been named Stella from almost day one. A Barfette actually named her.

My last was Ursula because she was fat and ugly and German. :laughing

Honey Ryder begs to differ. You have the Ursula thing all wrong.

That sure is a nice color and a really nice bike. Friend of mine at work has one just like it and I often find myself staring at it, almost like it was the other Ursula!

DON'T JUDGE!! :rofl

No. Been riding now I think 45 years, there was a year in there where I didn't have a bike but I had a '67 GTO.
Countless bikes. (Well, I really could do it. Maybe one day I will)
But no names.
Named two dogs after motorcycles tho
Metisse after the Rickman Metisse and Bonnie after the Bonneville of course.
Her full name was Bonneville J. French. Only used when she was in trouble. Border Collie/Chow mix. We used that full name a lot.

Naming a motorcycle, no, that would be like naming a body part... oh, wait, I do that... ;)

What does one name a green bike that isn't derogatory?

I know it's a Beemer, but how about 'Glas Draugr" - it's Irish gealic for 'Green Ghost'

Or just keep it German:
- Die Grüne Frau - The Green woman
- Spur Schwein - Lane pig

:twofinger

JK - it is a thing of beauty

One of my TZ's was purple and white, my son was 3 at the time and into Barney so my bike was referred to as the Barney bike.

My new race bike has been officially named El Arma, Spanish for The Weapon / weapon of war

Ok, I'll be honest. When I was at Der dealership I sold the bike to a CHP car guy and time passed. When he retired, he bought a 1200RT and traded in the 1100. Those Chippys take such good care of their stuff, I looked past the color (Boston Green) and snapped it up.
Every service record, cleaner than the day he bought it.
So, I still have a stigma about the color, but I wouldn't sell it for double book value.

Bruce Banner?

My STeeds name was given to him by one of the members on another forum (ST-Owners) I frequent. He told me I should call him Gigolo because I was going to by him lots of shiney farkles and he was going to bring me lots of pleasure.

When I told my sister and she started having a cow over it, well, that decided it for me :p

How about that for a name of my e-bike !!!! :laughing :teeth :thumbup

I am call her Déesse from now on !!!
