NFL 2018/2019 Thread

Really fun Texas game last night. Cowboys should have gone for it on 4th in OT. At some point you have to decide whether or not you're there to win.

How about that #10DeAndre Hopkins with his spinning run?. OMG. Best football moment this year, even tho ODB did one of his one-handy miracles earlier in the day. Looking for the video now to post. MUST SEE.

How many OC’s has Carr had in the 5 seasons? With Junior blowing the staff up to get Gruden, and Gruden trading Mack for “the future”, any ideas of winning out of the box were unrealistic. Just another year of starting from scratch.... :facepalm

Let’s see if they gel as the season goes on. (ugh, another game in a foreign country? FFS!)

That dude oozes talent.

He seems kinda little to survive the inevitable hits out there, but yeah, he slashes and slashes.

Yesterday was a weird day. I am in full autumn-itis mode, where I pack on the pounds, can't get motivated to even pull the rake for all the leaves outside, but just want to tube out on the football. I watched way too much yesterday but at least I got to see that play..

He's afraid of getting hurt again and IMO his arm strength has dropped.

So, big brother all over?

Yes. Bill Musgrave was the OC and they decided not to keep him. They promoted Todd Downing which was a disaster. Now it's Greg Olsen. So Carr hasn't had the most stable environment.

Sounds like poor Jason Campbell. I liked that kid, he had talent, but just couldn't' catch a break with team Management/Coaching.

Maybe true, that lean has its ups and downs. Texans QB took a beating all day and still refuses to slide or head out of bounds. He's kind of a badass.

A badass that spent most of his first season last year on Injured Reserve?

It's definitely not a style that keeps you injury free.

Yeah. In context though, that was an all-Texas brawl last night. Man, everybody is sore today from that thing. They worship football and that thing was at the sacrificial altar all evening.

Since I basically hate the Cowboys from old days, I always wish Texans could finally just come into their own. So much promise, so much talent, but they falter despite it. Their defensive rush is at a point now, where JJ might not even be the baddest dude!

You know, the Giants could have lost on Sunday and made it into another rebuilding year, or could have won and still 100% have been in it.

Lost to a record setting 63 yard Field Goal with no time on the clock. Ain't that a bitch? The back is broken. We will probably let the shitbirds steamroll us on Thursday.

Can't wait to hear the fallout from the 90 million dollar receiver brilliant interview this weekend.
Giants are just the Raiders of the East. Holy shit.

Yes, and as my two favorite teams, I live in football hell. I haven't yelled 'you've gotta be fucking kidding me' at the TV more than I did yesterday. The only thing worse would be if I was also a fan of that shit show that plays out of Santa Clara.

Carr underthrows ever single long pass when his receivers are wide open. The guys has looked like garbage ever since he broke his leg. Last year they blame it on the system. This year they script only 3 second drops and he still throws league leading INTs that are bad ones (as opposed to deflection INTs). Carr has been living on the legacy of a single year of success two years ago.

The Raiders suck, as usual and will probably only win 2-3 more games this year.

I was thinking more when he broke the little bone in his back last year.

He's had a couple big injuries the last few seasons. He's spooked now.

looking at the box score from Niners game is rough. they statistically owned that game. 49 plays vs 92. 19 minutes vs 41 minutes. 220 yds vs 447 yds. ..... ...... and then 0 turn overs vs 5

watching it unfold after that first drive is ugh. watching another fucking starter go down to injury is fmlwtf.

5 turnovers and one broken coverage play for 24 points literally gifted away in a 10 pt loss ggrrrr (i guess i should add the blocked PAT and missed 2pt conversion to the negatives)

that's why it's so confusing to watch them .... I watched ATL literally give up vs PIT. they were just ready to leave the game with 8 minutes lift to play. Niners not so much. they kept working and looking like they were in it to win. and then a single play here or there.... gah....

Yeh, it snowballed in second half. This is still a team that is not give-up level, like latter Kaepernick days, but there is only so much you can do with the injury losses and it showed. And you wonder if yesterday was a turning point for the worse....They had a shot. I kept thinking of a conversation I heard on the radio where they quoted Bill Walsh talking about a QB who was good enough to keep you in the game, then lose. I want to see rainbows with Beatherd but I'm not sure he can win a game. Shit just happens to him that maybe doesn't to someone with better luck. But not for want of trying. Dude is sincere, busts his butt, can make good and fast plays, gets his ass kicked by opponents D but.....
