NFL 2018/2019 Thread

wtf horrible clock management no out routes on last possession, they need to watch brady and patriots, every single throw is a out route.....

#1 rb in league doesnt wanna get outta bounds to stop the clock - wants to just go all in himself

also donald cant get home from a qb that havent played all year... common how can he nor suh get home

Gotta say, the Titans doing the “Remember the Titans” celebration while shutting out the Giants was hilarious, as was Mariota knocking a linebacker on his ass.... LT is rolling in his grave. (Pretty sure that play killed him, it just hasn’t made the news. :laughing )

Really? I guess.
Then again if the D hadn't been so good during the season the O wouldn't have had the opportunity to step up in the postseason.

eh, it's hard for me to hold it too much against them. 1) the salary cap space was far more heavily invested on the defense, 2) the offensive play calling was focused on working in conjunction with the defense, i.e. ball control, minimize risk and take advantage of what their defense would generate for them, 3) they changed o-coordinators halfway through the season, and 4) they played winning football. It doesn't have to be flashy to be beautiful.

how is donald a candidate for mvp of the year????

mack came to the bears and won a division title.... wtf am i missing something? donald had last 2x games back to back prime time and got 0 sacks.... whaaaaaaaat?

Would be a great Christmas gift to take one from the Bears this weekend. Maybe not a dump in their punch bowl, but surely a little tinkle?
Have I been a good enough boy to deserve it? What say the Santas of the brafs?

I watched the game last night until the Dubs started but then checked in for the inglorious ending.

Cam got hit really hard at the beginning of the game. Simultaneously, he was chin-slappped by one guy and hit square and hard between the shoulder blades by another guy. He was never the same.

That was a very physical game that got more and more violent to the point that it just seemed on the verge of chaos. Man. Something about the Saints, and I guess it goes back to head-hunting days.

I really love Cam's energy but he didn't have it last night. I suspect he was hurt worse than anyone was publicly admitting, already having an injury going in, apparently.

The saints have some real dipshit receivers that don't know how to get out of bounds when the clock is an issue. Saints did not look that great, but it was good to see Cam N. not do well. I just don't like that guy. The panther's D looked real deal tho.

Yeah, but a half a team isn't enough to win and that was the problem. Koechly was fully-engaged last night. I dunno, I am interested in Panthers these days because of McCaffrey. I tuned into Snodfart games just to seem him play, even tho' I typically bear the Cal-oriented loathing of same. I want that kid to win. I like Cam tho. I mean, all the Superman bit is annoying, but the guy has a winning smile to me in a somewhat otherwise stern league. The way my florid imagination works, I kept thinking during that game of a scenario where he tells the team the next day that's he done, finito, with NFL because he is so battered up and it really doesn't look like things are going to get much better. But I have an overactive imagination, so who knows.

Mack missed a couple of games theBears won? :dunno

he did but remember he is a 1st year man on this team, the coaching really had a job to do to get his schemes in (really not cuz hes just a beast and can do it from anywhere - even triple teaming cant stop him)

whereas donalds been on the same team with teammates for the 2nd year, you have to understand a entire 2nd year with the same faces in the locker will instill confidence vs being a brand new face 1st game of the year and not even getting to practice at all with your team/coaching staff throughout spring training camps.

thats where macks shining bright like a diamond vs donald with his 2nd year team, we can argue but stats are real, mack elevated the entire dline, where donald and suh cant even sack a qb that hasnt played all year... whose leading turnovers? da bears, from the goddamn pressure from the dline

also i think he actually played in all games just didnt do his usual % of reps when he had ankle issues.

Oh, Dude, that is Jerry Reese. Has had been very clear for the last 13 years, the Giants have had zero respect for the Linebacker position. He believed if you had a big front 4 and a mean set of safeties, you could play soft in the middle. I believe in the opposite. An elite group of Linebackers helps shore up both the front and down the field, even in a 4-3.

Far cry from the good old days of the Wrecking Crew. I remember one glorious season where not a single regular season QB was able to stay in the whole game against them. Those guys wouldn't even be allowed to exist today.

bUt CoLiN kApErNiCk iSnT gOoD eNoUgH!

Not good enough to be a QB anywhere, obviously. I don't even understand why anyone is talking about him when a slot opens. He was never any good, he seriously only had 2 decent seasons with the Niners, where he was really riding the back of the stellar Defense (Remember Donte Hitner?) and a gimmick Offense (The Pistol) which only worked for about 2 years in the NFL before people went back to playing real football, with an occasional read option.

He is 31 years old, Lost his starting job to Blaine F'in Gabbert (who is still an active back up in the NFL) before he got out of the league, and hasn't taken a Pro Football snap in 2 fucking years, which is a serious problem for a guy who was never really a QB and more of a RB in disguise anyway.

What team in their right mind would hire that guy, even if he didn't have a bunch of negative press attached to him?

I mean, Peterman seems to stink, but at 24 Years old, he might be able to learn something and get a little better as a professional back up, with zero drama attached to him, and dirt cheap.
