Well, the Peter-Man is going to the practice squad. The DBs need experience in catching the ball too![]()

If my understanding is that Kap has been rather choosy about where he'll play he's kinda sealed his fate on his side of it too. At this point he would need to take whatever is offered or hang it up.
Not good enough to be a QB anywhere, obviously. I don't even understand why anyone is talking about him when a slot opens. He was never any good, he seriously only had 2 decent seasons with the Niners, where he was really riding the back of the stellar Defense (Remember Donte Hitner?) and a gimmick Offense (The Pistol) which only worked for about 2 years in the NFL before people went back to playing real football, with an occasional read option.
He is 31 years old, Lost his starting job to Blaine F'in Gabbert (who is still an active back up in the NFL) before he got out of the league, and hasn't taken a Pro Football snap in 2 fucking years, which is a serious problem for a guy who was never really a QB and more of a RB in disguise anyway.
What team in their right mind would hire that guy, even if he didn't have a bunch of negative press attached to him?
I mean, Peterman seems to stink, but at 24 Years old, he might be able to learn something and get a little better as a professional back up, with zero drama attached to him, and dirt cheap.
also i have no clue why gruden is on this guy dick so bad - calling him the definition of underdog,
why the fuck you want a underdog @ the qb level
i want a outstanding talent @ the qb level, wtf am i missing here?

I think it's possible both narratives about Kaep are true
frankly I was annoyed Niners went w the gimmick man and it played itself out in the fucking Super Bowl of all places
I also think he's still probably a better QB than people still on rosters
That's a wrap on Josh Gordon's career.
I only know a bit about Peterman, but I think this assessment of Kaep is sober and correct. I drank some of the Kool Aid during those two seasons but as pointed out, once he was figured out by defenses AND he stopped running for it because he was a good sprinter in bail-outs, it was over. Only residual social guilt continues to peddle the narrative that he "deserves" to be hired.
Yeah, I mean, this isn't a thing to pick on Kaep, he wasn't the only guy running the pistol for those 2 years. DC's figured it out and guys like Kaep, RGIII, they became irrelevant. Wilson and Newton were able to stay the course because they were resilient enough to not get injured out of the fad, and were able to try and pass in the pocket through their progressions.
Kaep was never able to progress effective even to his checkdown guy, seemed like all he could do was give his first look and play gazelle if the guy was covered.
Jeez how do you not run that??
