NFL 2019

Bet they regret that stupid fake punt now. That changed the entire game.

Fake punt call was fine. Execution was crap, the runner didn't even try to make the defender miss a tackle. Like, dude, cut up field.

The worse call was NOT going for it on 4th and 1 at the 11. Making it 28-0 and eating up some more time would have been a killer.

Fake punt was completely unnecessary given the score and around your own 30 yard line. Had they just kicked it the Chiefs wouldn't have immediately scored, wouldn't have kicked off, wouldn't have got the ball back on the return and scored again. 14 points just like that because of a dumb play call. That was the start of the end. After that Chief's never looked back.

That KC Game was insane. Don’t think there is another team in the NFL that can score like they can.

49ers defense now

I have felt this way about Obrien, as I said earlier, for a while. The Texans have been a super-entertaining team for years. Squandered talent. Man, I love Hopkins, I admire Watt and I think Watson brings a lot to that team. But for what? Seeing Hopkins out there with fractured ribs, probably, and playing through it...shit. What a waste.

Somebody is going. Not sure of contract details of stars there but...

the stats put up by deandre hopkins is astonishing if you put into play how many different oc and qb he had throwing to him

and yes a defensive player of the year 3x years running and no ship.........

we all know d wins ships :laughing

Manning and Von Miller will disagree with your laughter, so will Ray Lewis, so will the 85 bears....the 2013 hawks will disagree too. The most prolific offense in NFL history got destroyed by Seattle in the SB.

I hate SF but there defense is freakin awesome. I can’t wait till they play KC in the SB. I’ll be rooting for Mahomes.

The best thing you can do to stop KC is keep the ball away from Mahomes by using a Running game to maintain possession, then as long as the game is close in the last 2 minutes of each quarter, Andy Reid will find a way to mismanage the clock into a failure. His inability to grasp clock management is astounding for a Coach who wins so much.

Hey any teams left that ran, say, 47 times last week?

Exactly. Lotsa Derrick Henry. I love how all the commentators love Andy Reed right up until he loses the big one or does as you describe with the clock. Then, he too, can't win "the big one."

The words offensive genius really gets thrown around a lot, while I'm at it.

I have to be brutally honest and this hurts: I have not forgotten the Falcons getting beat by New England in Super Bowl. Dear old Blank standing down on the sidelines, all disappointed, Matty Ice etc etc. .

That was a Kyle Shanahan offense even if he wasn't the head coach and he was already courted to come to SF. If they go all the way and win the big one, I will release my anxiety and chalk it up to Falcon HC, but I kind of worry that Kyle might ultimately blow it. I want to believe he won't.

As a layman, I really don't quite understand exactly who is in charge during games with the various coaches and how much the OC has say. I wouldn;t mind a bit of an explanation, but I'm sure it varies on whether said HC is an "offensive genius" or a "defensive genius." Nyuk.
