NFL 2020

Jimmy doesn't look the same since the ACL.

Probably came back early from the ankle sprain too.

Going to be a tough choice if he doesn't come back fully healthy and return to form. He's taking too many bad sacks instead of throwing the ball away.

Helluva game, though.

:smoking

I had a feeling that Carr was more serious about being sick of losing than just whining about it to the media. Way to pull himself together after that INT. Not often can qbs say that they outplayed Mahomes in KC, for a win no less.

yeah the Raiders defense gave up a lot, but there were a few plays that Mahomes ran right into a dman, suggesting there was film study and a game plan actually being executed. Kwiatkoski was a presence in a typically absent MLB position, and the d-line came up huge.

The Raiders looked like they belonged on the same field and it was indeed a really good game.

It's hard to judge his ability to actually quarterback when half the time he drops back to pass the pressure is sitting in his lap.

Not knocking anyone and not making excuses. There is no quarterback in the league who could manufacture a drive given the amount of pressure the 9ers are letting thru. Sure, some may be able to run out of it or throw it away. That doesn't make for sustaining drives tho.

The offense is suffering because the middle of the o-line is failing and the d is suffering because there is no pass rush and the corners are toast. Most of the poor play is the result of injuries to starters. Still hope they come back in the second part of the season. The two wins could end up being a big deal and if they can surprise someone in the next three games they still have a shot at the playoffs. If not then the season's a wash.

Good game to the Raiders. Man, they are truly the Jekyll/Hyde of the league right now.

I mean, I think he was trying to play hurt still, I'm sure he will be fine with some more rest.

I know. That's what I said. His ankle is still bothering him. He obviously couldn't plant hard off his back foot.

Injuries killed this season already.

Shit, tell me about it. Between COVID problems, Injuries, and player character issues, our Turn the Corner rebuilding season has become a complete Garbage Fire.

The only upside seems to be a surprisingly well performing Defense despite the piecemeal nature of the staffing, but our newest high paid free agent Linebacker just went down with an injury, so there you go. :laughing

I did mention this year more than others would be a war of attrition. The 9ers look lost without that strong d-line, center, and banged-up qb.

Meanwhile going into the game, KC had zero injuries. zero. How unfair is that?

Raiders are getting healthier but are still missing some major pieces. They got Trent Brown back, and he was dominant. This moved Good back to guard to cover for the injured Incognito, and allowed them to put their rookie tackle back on the bench.

The Raiders always look better with their all pro tackle, and at least 4/5 of their starting o-line. If Chris Jones was lined up vs. Brown at some point, I never knew it. Jones did have a few good plays, vs. Miller, but I don't think KC did anything afa pass rush from the right side. Hopefully Big Bad Brown gets to 100% with the bye week and is ready to take on a pretty good Bucs d-front (although they just lost Vita Vea).

I'm so happy that Chucky decided to go for it on 4th and inches at the end of the game. :thumbup

Yes!
That made me very happy!
That was such a good win for them, their front four on D finally stepped up.

They're on their 5th and 6th CBs. The dude that started was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday, and was directly responsible for 3 touchdowns.

Literally the only group that they have their regular starters is LB - Warner, Greenlaw, and Kwon.

That's it.

The O-Line has a backup Guard playing Center, a swing tackle playing Guard, and McGlinchey who is getting thrown around like a fucking rag doll because he decided to lose weight over the offseason.

It is a bad cycle. The offense can't sustain a drive, so the defense has to run themselves ragged over and over.

FTFY

did you skip my first sentence?

A defense generally needs one of two things - solid secondary, or good pass rush.

Currently we have neither.

I believe the Giants are currently running their Dime Packages with 4 guys from the Practice squad. :laughing

I mean, we were bad before we lost like 1/2 the starters to Injuries, COVID based season opt outs, and one 1st round CB pick gone due to Felony Dumbass behavior.

At least we got a new mascot out of it.

We used to have hope, now we have Crosby!!!!

this shit is what I'm talking about with Brown (#77, right tackle) and the blocking:

https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1315351143824973825

within a second, he helped chip Good's (#63) opponent to keep him inside, probably eliminating an overlap KC was trying for, then helped Jacobs pick up the blitz by laying the LB to the fucking ground.

o-line play like that just gets me fucking fired up!
