NFL 2020

The Hurty Niners really got off to a good start then offense collapsed by second half. They just need a few key players to extend tough downs and they are there. Yes, the RTP call on Street was bad. The Saints defense is pretty bad-ass but after that one outside rusher got hurt, the Niners had a chance in the second half. But its almost like the air came out of the tires for Mullens and even CJ was brought in for one play.

I think Shanahan is the best coach they have had since Bill Walsh. He knows how to scheme up a game in today’s type of play. But he can’t do it without at least a star or two, especiallly Kittle or Mostert. Like Belichick, he can plug and play and elevate his players beyond their expected ability.
He did more with less. That first drive, using half of the quarter and scoring a touchdown was a beautiful thing. I think two practice squad guys had notable play even at some point in the game.

Season is questionable but I feel great about being a fan of this team.

The Niners cant win shit without Grap. Full stop.

Honestly, I don't think Himmy would have done much better without Mostert or Kittle yesterday. He is stronger and more confident than Mullens, but Mullens is a bit quicker on the release and maybe even more accurate on longer passes. Mullens is getting trial by fire, not sure if he comes out truly better or just stays inconsistent. It's not looking good given the interceptions.

It's a weird kind of thing. This offense is not built around a star QB because they just aren't going to have one. So Shanahan has the complex set of play options and mis-direction and Mullens seems to get them pretty well. But without the occasional breakout run by Mostert or impossible catch by Kittle. It just doesn't happen.

I heard the football experts this morning being much harsher on the Niners than my rosy tribute. They do know better but I still like this team.

It's a run first offense.

The problem is not so much missing Mostert and Kittle, but those are huge. The problem is missing their starting center and right guard. The problem is playing a backup right guard at center, and a random scrub at right guard.

The WCO is based on timing and guys getting yards after the catch. When the QB doesn't have any time to throw or for the play to develop, it doesn't matter who the QB is. The reason Mullens put up big numbers when Jimmy was out with his torn ACL was because the OLine was healthy.

Mullens is simply not good enough. It's too bad he didn't get traded for a 3rd rounder after 2018.

Game planning and schemes have been what's kept the season from being a wash at this point even though it's getting closer and closer.

Hoping the team is picking up a solid amount of grit having to fight through these games and pleased to see so much progress from some of the guys thrown into the fire sooner than expected like Kinlaw. He could very well end up being a force bigger than Buckner was in the years to come.

As pleased as I've been with the opening game plans and schemes it sure would be nice to see a come from behind victory this year. Would help me have a bit more faith in the coaching staff's ability to adjust once the game has gotten away from them a bit.

No sense in beating a dead bronco, right?

Is this the year Crooked Finger Elway gets launched?

no way man, just keep beating that pony haha! That emoji can only be better if the smiley had a pirate hat and patch on.

I would consider making a coaching change before letting Elway go. Fangio's a great d-coord, but I'm not sold on his team. Their offense IMO seems a little simplistic. If a team like the Raiders can dominate them like that, it should signal something to those who know offense. But to be fair, Lock probably has a cracked rib or injured shoulder after those two hits by Morrow and Ferrel.

How can anybody not still hate Elway? I actually like the Broncos anymore, I'm over it but Elway is still a hot dog who always threw the ball too hard to prove his machismo. And that fuckin snowball at Ray Wersching. Goddamit. Maybe I still do hate the Broncos. Oh, never mind....

Just remember: "It ruined my whole careeeer."

Can’t express how happy I am that NE just beat the Ravens. I don’t even like the Patriots but I hate the Ravens more.

Steelers fans hate the Ravens because they used to be the Browns and the Browns suck but the Ravens kept beating us
Steelers fans hate the Patriots because they kept beating us and caught up to our Super Bowl record (and they cheat)

So now we have to beat both of them to get another ring

Brock Osweiler's not doing anything these days... and they're probably still paying him.

:rofl

Dumbest move of the year: the Texans trading Hopkins. Dumb. Just... dumb.

Notice the Head COach/ GM was immediately fired afterwards. :laughing

Now the rest of the NFC West has to deal with that shit every Sunday.

mikev has been calling him the midget since the Cards drafted him ahead of Bosa last year.... :dunno

In my mind, Mason Crosby looks like the worlds biggest midget....

But he is like normal sized. Midget Murray is actually midget sized.

:rofl

Nope. They unloaded him on the Texans (Texans gave him something like 17 million) who then turned around and sent him to Cleveland. He got released from Cleveland and Denver resigned him for $600k for one year. Denver isn’t paying him a cent.

Seems like a weird regional thing I reckon, but right on, I am glad the NFL has fed your reckless hate.

Oh, it's not reckless, it's well deserved. Honestly, it's not really hate. It's just more that I wish they had a record like the jagoffs in Jacksonville. :teeth

Unless they have a record of willfully puking on children, punching horses in the face as a modern tradition, beating up Santa Claus, and similar acts of wanton evil, I have to say, I am not impressed.
