NFL 2020

ok, yep.

I think the only criticism that could be levied against Maraathe/Lynch is not getting a Montana/Young type of QB. and, who can do that.

really, the GMs have done very well for the 9ers no doubt. I'm not sold on the coaching just yet.

Just get a couple HOF guys. Why doesn't everyone think of that.

lol pretty much...all the Raiders need is the next healthy Upshaw, Ott, and Shell and everything just takes care of itself

speaking of QBs who are currently evading a solid judgement...how about that Derek Carr, eh?? He's showing he has all the tools like never before. He can hit the deep ball, he's murderously efficient, and can scramble well enough. He's outplayed Brees and Mahomes this year. Beat a team in their own inclement weather. Ranks 5th in passer rating and 8th in adjusted QBR. I feel like, this year, his play is showing that these rankings of the #6-10 range is accurate. He's playing very well.

Carr is playing very well but he's behind a great O-line and he has Jacobs who seems to get 7 yards per carry (he's actually averaging 3.7 per carry, but he gets a lot of good chunks). That opens things up for Carr, and it also helps a lot that he has Waller, Ruggs and Renfro to pass to. Waller is so damn good at grabbing tough catches and adding yards after catch.

It's nice to see the 'Ders being competitive again, even if they are in god damned vegas...

Yes, or like the 70s. I'm old.

As much as I would like to talk about Lawrence Taylor like he has some kind of relevance to modern football, the 80's and earlier is kind of just ancient history that doesn't really have anything to do with anything except history.

Most the guys who ran organizations that far back aren't even just out of the league, they are dead.

so true

We hella old.

I still think of Tampa as that weird creamsicle expansion team and never won shit and have to remind myself that isn't true anymore.

Anybody know how the Oilers are doing this season?

They are 2-6 now, so not great. Also, they aren't Oilers anymore, the green economy has impacted them, they are just Texans now.

No, mrmarklin got it right, they're 6-3 after the loss last night. The run and shoot failed to produce.

The only Baltimore team is in Indianapolis- and they won last night.

:laughing At least you're leaning into it. Such a rare trait here in the Colonies, eh wot old chap? :laughing
