Baalke could've had Tebow to his heart's content before he got canned. He didn't even sniff. Now Urb shows up and Tebow's on his roster. DeFacto GM Baalke's watching Urb pull strings and Urb is making sure Baalke doesn't pull Chip Kelly from UCLA.
 
I know McCloughan. Have been watching his career in passing over the years. This is the first I’ve ever heard of Peters. Superficial glance at what he’s done with the 9ers tells me if this draft doesn’t pan out, i.e. Trey Lance, he’s going to be looking for work elsewhere. If it does he’s going to be labeled the next wonderkind.

Urban is a cagey fox. It will take a master to out maneuver him. Baalke isnt even on the same plane in that respect. And people genuinely like Urban. It’s going to be progressively harder for Baalke to damage Urbans position in Jax.

Don’t overlook the Gators angle with picking up Tebow. It is a gesture of good will to the Florduh fanz. This ain’t the enceedubbleaye tho. Every roster spot counts in the enneffell.

Doubtful their name recognition is higher than Meyer and Tebow.... :laughing

If (when?) Tebow gets cut, it will be a headline. If (when?) Meyer gets fired, it will be a headline. If (when?) Baalke gets let go, how much of a headline will it be? :dunno

He's certainly not getting a lot of love for his draft history with the 9ers...

I'm not saying it's gonna be successful, but my bet will be Baalke goes way before Meyer...

Tebow will run back to being an entertainer.

I like Urban so I'm hoping he figures it out and jettisons Baalke before systemic rot takes hold. I mean, it is the Jags, so maybe it's already too late? :dunno
 
Kassam was an analytics guy who didn't report to Urb or Baalke. He reported directly to Tony Khan who reports directly to Shad. I'm guessing Kassam wasn't fired, rather it was a mutual decision when he realized his input wasn't as valued as he thought it may be; who knows what really happened. As a Seahawks fan, I surmise Kassam probably realized what a slug Brian Schottenheimer will be on their raw unproven #1 draft pick and offense. Of course Kassam doesn't need analytics to know what Baalke is all about.
 
Kassam was let go because they hired another analytics guy 2 weeks ago.

Urban is bringing in his own guys.
