NFL 2021

+1 why Chicago started Dalton in weeks 17 and 18 over Foles, who had just beaten Seattle with a game-winning TD drive the week before, was beyond me.

Foles never really impressed when he was given starting shots.

Eagles, Rams, Chiefs, Jags, and Bears have all given him the chance.... :dunno

His Super Bowl run is the football version of Jeremy Lin's "Linsanity" run with the Knicks... Lin didn't have staying power either.

He has a career QBR of 87.3 with multiple Seasons over 100. He is not like a, "Carry the Whole Franchise," Type, but the dude is a good, above mediocre, Starting QB that can really shine when placed on a good team. That is proven and consistent.

Like I said, I can only figure some shit is really wrong with his personality is all I can figure.

I mean, given that literal fucking rapists and abusers stayed in starting roles, I doubt it's a personality thing. He had one good season as 'the guy' when Vick got hurt back in Philly and then had the postseason flash in the pan runs :dunno

Also Joe Judge was just fired.

Not a fan of the word smithing regarding the records that are being set. Brady "breaking" Bree's record is a bummer. I would prefer they didn't equate the accomplishments to previous records. I know it's silly, but it annoys me. Obviously, the stats have been earned and are deserved. Just wish it was delineated between the 2 major season schedules. Just my Tuesday rant.

Oh, Dude, it is scorched earth in Joisey right now. In all these bad last 5 years, today was the first time I recall ever seeing the Giants at number 32 in the Power Rankings. We even won more games than the Lions or Jags, but the free fall after Daniel Jones got hurt sent the team into a full scale collapse.

The bleeding Blue family is on the verge of riot, which is uncharacteristic for us.

I expect Daniel Jones to stay, because the QB Market doesn't look good in next years draft and he is still on a rookie deal, but if anyone is interested in a slightly used Saquon Barkley, Evan Ingram, Will Hernandez, Nate Solder, and probably a hand full of others, they should be available shortly at bargain basement prices.

In an interview I read with one of the Coaches, not only were the Giants the most injured team this year AGAIN, he also said the Giants were the most injured team of the last decade. For those not counting, the new Ballpark opened 11 years ago.

That is a thing I am wondering if part of the root of it.

I mean. Gettleman should have been gone like years ago right?

Meh, it was kind of an up in the air thing. When he came on board, our cap was a disaster. He did a great job with that and it took a couple of years.

The expectation after being decimated by injuries last year was that the team would settle in, build on late season success the O-Line had been having last year, and move up out of the bottom 5 teams to somewhere in the muddled middle. 4 years for a big rebuild like we were doing seems reasonable if you start being competitive again in the 5th year, with the expectation you go playoffs in year 6.

This year for reasons largely seeming to be related to injuries again, we actually regressed, which turned into a full blown dumpster fire when Daniel Jones was no longer able to carry this team on his often pummeled back in week 12 (FUCKING PHILLY).

Jason Garrett already got canned, the O-Line Coach is gone as of today, now Judge. More will be coming, it is The Purge in Joisey right now.

ya know, I'm getting a little peeved about this QB ranking shit. Carr outdueled Herbert with a worse o-line, not nearly as talented passcatching corps, and a lesser-rated RB. He had a better passer rating than Herbert (88.4 to 80.4) for the game. And most of all, he won the game with a fantastic throw to Jones for the 1st down that set up Jacobs getting the yardage needed for the game winning figgie. Yet there's nothing but praise for the smug-looking princess boy, and only symbolic pats on the head for Carr. That's fucked up IMO.

I understand everyone likes the shiny new object, but put Carr in the LA offense and they would be playoff bound, whereas Herbert couldn't get it done.

:bs:superhawk

Huh?

Herbert threw for 200 more yards than Carr. Jacobs ran for 130 yards, and Ekeler ran for 64.

200 more yards on 20+ more passes. and an INT. Carr had a better passer rating (stated above), 2 TDs 0 INTs. And made the play when it counted most, i.e. he outdueled Herbert.

Jacobs is not rated as high as Ekeler. as I stated "lesser-rated". He did have more yards than Ekeler in week 18, but that's not Carr's fault.

Is it wrong of me to cheer every time the Rams lose. I so want them to eat shit after how smug they were when they mortgaged the future to get Stafford and I want it to implode on them and see the look on McVays face when they realize they missed going to the SB this year.
