Ninja H2?

Looks more like a turbo than a super right??

Badass. Me want. Tho I'd go thru rear tires in a few hunnert miles and break every traffic law known to man in a matter of minutes.

Rolling burnouts at 120mph entering the freeway would be pretty rad, tho.

Not a reliable source..
Still speculation

Personally I think it is Kawasaki trying to continue their 'viral' marketing campaign. The post on those brand new forums 'ninjah2' comes off smelling very strongly of an ad campaign.

The compressor part is like on a turbo, but it isn't driven by the exhaust gas, but by a variable gear from the crank, making it a supercharger.

The patent application matches what we have seen very well so far.

I posted an A&R article about this. It is almost certainly a viral marketing attempt, that is working.

I have half a mind to make an account and post on the ninjah2 forum claiming to have better info than that 'friend of a friend'. Make some claim that I know someone high up and that it's going to be a turbo triple 300cc scooter and that all other claims are just speculation:rofl

That would be funny and def bring out the guys attempting to strengthen a viral ad campaign.
Do it.
There's only 6 days though before actual release of information

I wouldn't do something like that, but it would be funny if someone else did:twofinger

O cool

So this makes more sense and better than turbo on a bike then huh

Turbo's has two things that makes them less desirable on a motorcycle (IMHO), compared to a compressor: Turbo lag, the time it takes for the exhaust gas to spin up compressor. And a very peaky performance curve.

Think ketchup-effect; where you exit a turn and roll on the gas, and then get a sudden extra 50+hp to the rear wheel - I would have a hard time controlling that.

All the hype aside (says I), it looks to me like Kawasaki are doing all the right things.

mid-size turbo street bikes [some with Buck Rogers styling] were marketed by Nipponese makers back in the day -
there was also a small aftermarket of turn-key machines, including BMW R100 boxers

we AFMers had to deal with turbo big-bores racing alongside us at Ontario [an exact Indy copy] & Riverside,
both very fast venues, now long lost....

tho' lap times might've been similar between a turboZ1 & a pumped normal Z down south, the differences in splits & end-of-straights speed was substantial!

can you imagine turbos at Sears Point?
