Old USGP Photos

Wayne, I think your right, I changed the post, Carmen has so many photos from that era that are not marked, I'm missing the 1990 Motorcourse and after checking 1987-1989 it doesn't match up.

My memory is not so good anymore but I have all my race programs from the 1988-1994 races so I can look up numbers that I forgot.

This thread makes me want to kick FIM/Dorna officials in the nuts and make a bonfire out of MotoGP machines.

Allow two-strokes, allow leaded fuel, allow any tires, don't limit the number of engines, allow more fuel capacity, prohibit traction control, enjoy epic racing.

This man here has the bike for it, Eskil Suter.

Most Excellent !!! Two :thumbup
Thanks for sharing your pics!!!
Not to thread jack... good friend of mine owns Valley Machine (in Livermore) long time bike rider (Harleys, Hondas, R1s, BMWs, drags, dirt, trials) and was a long time sponsor of Rich Oliver. If you need custom machine work for your bike (race or street), plane, train, boat, jet-ski, sprint car, 4x4, etc, might be worth it to look 'em up.

Again, great pics!

Thank you very much for sharing this stuff. I loove old bikes/old racing pics, quality pics can be tough to come by.

These are awesome!! What are you using to scan your negatives?

The stuff I posted when I started the thread, I was using an Epson Perfection V700 flatbed scanner, the latest photos I scanned using a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 II.

Some of the pics at the start of the tread were scans of the prints I had, I no longer have any of my negatives from the 1983 race.

Old Laguna pics should be everywhere, there were literally thousands of people at every race with really high quality camera equipment, I imagine some of the people with the high dollar camera setups were pros with out a pass and some were people like me who were just racing fans with a camera.

I know this forum has at least one pro photographer who was working at the earlier GP races and I am sure he has far better photos that I got.
