One Headlight?

I wish my bike didn't have the dual light set up with high and low on different sides... I ride so much, that I get people telling me I have a light out every couple of weeks.

Also, it's only guys who like to tell me this, so it's not even a piece of eye candy.

Maybe I'll just tell them they're ugly. Or I could be diplomatic and tell them their fly is open.

Yea, I just don't understand why manufacturers do that. It would be so easy to make both sides take standard H4's and double the light output. Bikes generally have such crappy lighting anyway.

So i've seen multiple f4i's on the freeway this morning that have both headlights on but doesn't look like highbeams....is there some sort of mod or something that I am unaware of?

I sent my 848 back beacuse of this problem. They exchanged it for another, but it seemed to do the same thing. Any suggestions?

Maybe only the red one's have this problem. Bet if you paint it it'll be fine.

I think that is incorrect older sport bikes with dual headlights used both lights for low beam. For example check out the older GSX-Rs, FZs and CBRs.

Yeah my R6 had both headlights on at low and high, and i liked the extra visibility. My one eyed monster TT600 only has one headlight for high/low and doesnt offer the same visibility that the R6 had with 2 headlights on.


Oh and just to rant, i cant stand when other riders have the high beam on at night when riding. It blinds me and im sure it blinds everyone else on the road. TURN YOUR GOD DAMN HIGH BEAM OFF AT NIGHT!!! ESPECIALLY THOSE RIDING F4i's THOSE ARE THE WORST!!!!!!.................f#ckers............

I had read somewhere years ago that the one headlight on setup was a deliberate attempt by manufacturers to make their bikes look more like endurance racers, who often ride with only one offset headlight.
