Online Dating, whats your experience?

The tattooed 24 year old blonde was back a bit... We dated for a couple months but it never got horribly serious. Which was good because she turned out to be batshit insane.

What I took away from that was do not date 24 year old women when you're nearly 40, especially ones who are surgically glued to their iPhone, have no real job to speak of, or means of conveyance that does not involve a bus pass.

The new one has her own business, has a vehicle, is closer to my age, and has her shit together. So I'd say there are better odds of this one going long term.
I cant keep track of your dating life sir!

C'est la vie.

Oh geeze, I just picked up a barf stalker :laughing

Cootz and B :love

I did a Match.com date once.. years ago. It was ALL bad ! I really had no idea how to handle the on-line or the transition from on-line to meat space.

I call shenanigans PG. Female consensus among us barfettes seems to be that you're the bees knees.

:party

Had a PoF date this week and it was a trip. Got along great in txt and on the phone, both attracted to one another, yet no spark what so ever in person. On paper we were a hit, in actual meat space not so much. Humans are complicated, even more so the older we get.

Oh yeah, forgot... here's a photo.

Yes, the new girlfriend is in fact a Monican agent from Aeon Flux. :teeth

Honestly, online dating is one of those things that you do when your to shy, or to lazy to walk up and talk to that pretty girl you see in a resturant, or gas station, or (insert location here).

NUT UP AND TAKE THE REJECTION! You will get rejected by a few. So what.

a lot of us work in an environment where it's hard to find a suitable match. Gas stations, restaurant, supermarket...? it could be a lot of awkward moments when she said she's married or have a boyfriend. And it's a crab-shot, you don't have the slightest idea what to expect. At least, online, you get two things: the people there are available and a synopsis of their lives.

Online dating casts a wider net. Even those who are attractive and socially adept may want to do that.

But sure, don't be shy in meatspace!

I do feel online dating eliminates or maybe prevents the butterflies one can get in person. Granted, the entire butterflies thing is shoved down out throat by holllywood anyway. I'd rather be able to weed out the ones I know I wont mix with than go on a few dates and find out they dont have a job or something.

Pluses and minuses to both. Online is convenient and widens the dating pool. It also seems to make girls more picky too. At least starting out. Funny seeing the same girl's profile change over a year.....not getting that 6'2 athletic and toned guy yet are ya, had to change it to 5'10 :rofl

One time I saw a girl who was 5'0".. I was like, hmm.. ok a little short but I can live with that...

tatata.. dadada...

Contact me if you:
"If you're not at least 5'10", don't bother. Anyone man under 5'10" is too short, IMHO."

You are 5'0"!!!:rofl

Maybe she wants a chance at having kids that aren't midgets.

You short guys get really freaking butthurt over this type of thing. It's hilarious and does nothing to counter the angry short guy syndrome stereotype.

My children will have perfect MotoGP racer body profile. :x

.

I'm not at all shy but I don't go to bars anymore

I also don't hit on barfettes or chicks in AA or random girls at gas stations :wtf

Oh, talked to my new friend for an hour and a half on the phone last night. Still going for coffee next week.

Aw, I'm excited for you Jim, even if you two HAVE exchanged more text messages than your average teenager. :)

Morphine, height doesn't matter when you're horizontal.

:leghump

Exactly

The media loves to portray men as being more superficial than women, but I feel the opposite is true. Women are much more rigid on their height and hair color preferences. If you ask a girl what hair color they prefer, probably 70-80% of them will say "dark hair", but if you ask a guy the same question, his answers will be a lot more random or he will just say IDGAF.

Joined six months ago. Paid $34 for a single month, got "matched" in 2 days. First date lasted 6+ hours. Fast forward to today and I couldn't ask for more. It's been quite an experience.

I'd recommend it.
