Pilot Road 4

I've got a couple thousand miles on the PR4-GTs on my K12R by now and there's no appreciable wear for front or rear, and that's 95% commute on highways. Love them. :party :thumbup

I put them on and enjoy the PP3/PR4. Don't have many miles on them yet though, and almost none of that is for fun so I can't say much.

I was very happy with the PR3. They aren't the best dry handling as far as stability during turn-in, but I got 10k miles out of it and the wet traction is amazing. Putting on a PR4 soon.

well fuck :|

Sign me up, I'm pissed at the wear pattern of the Pirelli Angel GTs. :mad Only 1,500 miles or so.

The front tire is squared-off an inch wide, with two angled flats on both sides, then goes to the round sidewalls. Rear has a 3" wide flat spot. NOT good on rough pavement, the front 'hunts' for the lowest point and jumps around. NOT good when lanesplitting. NOT a happy camper.

If the new PR4s are coming in Jan, I'll wait to swap the Angel GT's out, but I'll be one of the first testers. :teeth

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had to deal with this behavior. :/

One of the UK web sites (Visordown?) wrote that the PR3 might be puncture prone. That got me to realize that I've picked up 2 nails in a year's time, much a much higher rate than normal for me. I'm not sure what to make of it.

same here for my PR3s.

PR4 front's scalloped after about 500 miles
Anyone else had this? Not a big deal...

Go higher. What's the recommended pressure from your owners manual?

First impressions of the GT spec PR4:

* Break-in was quick and easy.
* Grip seems good.
* Profile is not as aggressive as the Pirelli Angels.
* These tires seem fairly neutral; they tend to hold lean angle. They don't fall into the corner or tend to stand up with my geometry.

The real test is how well the handling holds.
