Porsche Panamera S ?

It's priced reasonable if not a touch high, 996 is sort of the bastard child at this point

Also, it's an early 996. But yeah, the going rate for a 996 TT is 50K. Cheap for what you get. The interior on the 996 sucks tho. I mean, it really sucks.

Idk-I think I could be accused of having a tiny cock for way cheaper.

Probably 1/4 the price would easily buy a lifted pickup.

Or I could just drop my pants for whatever the court costs are these days.

996TT are starting to get love. The 997TT are definitely faster car though. For another $20k, now you're in or very near 996 GT3 range. Tough choice.

That particular 996 IMO is a bit overpriced. Auto 996TT are usually priced lower than its 6 speed counterpart.

Do the retractable wings on cars like the Panamera actually do anything performance wise, at highway speeds?

I'm sure they do. It could provide less lift, better fuel economy (think corporate average), or both.

Do they only provide performance at certain speeds?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'performance'. Short answer is yes, aerodynamic additions like wings and spoilers, are tuned to work best at specific speeds. The negative effects of lift and drag get worse as speeds go up.

Wings on backs are possibly put there for stability at certain speeds. Yes, certain very high speeds.

You probably wouldn't recall or no but for example one famous story is the Audi TT, which, pre-2001 didn't have a tiny "wing" (spoiler) at the back. So the car spun around or rolled over at super high speeds... (but only in Germany. Because high speeds+braking was involved). So they did a 'recall' and put a spoiler on that particular generation.

Yup. Most commonly took place during high speed lane change. The recall added a spoiler, changed suspension components, and adjusted some electronics.

Panamera in the flesh up close is a great looking car. Even the ugly headlights ain't all that ugly.
This thread prompted me to pull in at the Porsche dealer I was driving past on Sun. There was a couple of low mileage used Panamera's there. Sweet cars fosho.
