The voltage of the battery when the car was off, was 12.08 V this lunch.

It also died after 2.5 starts after lunch, again. :dunno

Hope it all gets better.

(I'm beginning to wonder if it's the start stop button)

ok seeking advice.

On my way home from work today a large boulder flew off of a work truck and bounces, broke in 2 and boom, hit my front windshield and it is cracked so I made it home but it is not driveable cause I don't know if it'll crack more than it is already. I don't want to be worried about further glass flying into my car.

Should I report it to my insurance company without my rates being affected?
TY in advance.

It's not going to fall apart.... you can drive it and relax. ... But it may further crack

Whether it's good for you or, legal, is a different question...

12.37 guess it's time
Huh? I would have thought this is good voltage no? EDIT: NEVERMIND, I guess it has to be 12.6 to be a good one.

Pro tip: Lowering my deductible on the comp coverage only from $500 to $0 was dirt cheap, like another $18/year.
Actually $18/6 months... but still.

To be sure you don’t have an excessive parasitic draw on your electrical system, disconnect one of the battery leads and put
an amp meter between the battery and the lead. The ignition should be off.

But it looks like your current battery is history.

yeah it's 3 months from being 6 years old and it was supposed to be a 24 month battery. I don't know if the blinking LED from the alarm has much draw.

I’ve never had a rate increase from a cracked/broken windshield.
If you have comp coverage a windshield replacement wont increase your rate... but if you have a $500 deductible, it doesn't really matter.
I have found that a lot of people aren't aware you can have a $500 deductible on collision and a $0 deductible on comp on the same policy. That way glass, theft, vandalism, storm damage, etc claims have no out of pocket expense. :thumbup

Keep in mid that a light under your open hood, or an open door will will show current usage.
