Predictions for Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz in UFC 196?

And he's the smart brother.

I disagree. Nick has given interviews where he's shown a deeper insight and understand of the sport and his opponents. His speech is often clear and understandable.
Nate is incoherent and has never put together a complete sentence. He's borderline retarded and arguable criminal in allowing him to fight.

Its getting to be too much with the WWE type clown show.
McGregor has exposed a serious weakness in other fighters. They're not prepared for mental warfare.

I'm kinda tired of listening to McGregor, I hope Nate wins.

You're talking crazy. Just because a champ gets famous, does the talk show circuits, deals with the celebrity lifestyle...that doesn't mean those distractions can help cause a loss. :p

Dominick Cruz had a nice interview about how in a one on one sport, getting the guy to battle you AND HIMSELF is s huge advantage

I don't think anyone McGregor has faced recently has been comfortable with his verbal abuse.
GSP couldn't deal with it from Koscheck but he did get his revenge in the ring.
Nate isn't up to it but I suspect Nick wouldn't be too phased.
Will be interesting to see the prefight banter between McGregor and the guy who can dish it out just as much.

Would love to see a verbal banter between Chael and Connor :laughing

C'mon guys, the big ego trash talk isn't new to sports. Big personalities sell tickets, whether you like it or not, you're talking about it. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Some of the biggest names in sports were the biggest trash talkers: Ali, Jordan, Kobe, Mayweather, Barkley, Tyson, T.O., etc.

Verbosity is a massive advantage for fighters if they want to maximize the hype, which increases the viewership and payout.

I remember Frank Shamrock talking bad about Cung Le. It was so bad, I thought he was going to get racial. It certainly worked, and the San Jose fight had good turnout. After the fight, which was almost the last for both men, Shamrock spoke very highly of Le.

I doubt Diaz and McGregor know each other that well, certainly not enough to hate each other. But both are decent shit talkers and they have been going hard. I enjoyed an interview with CNBC, which I thought was a weird choice. The host first brought up money, and McGregor whooped, dismissed Diaz and told him to get coffee, then tell him to bring him a cup.

It was pretty funny if you are a McGregor fan, infuriating if you are a Diaz fan (or McGregor hater), but all it did was to ensure more watchers.
