I'm SSOOOOOOOOO glad, I didn't trade antibling for those roll of quaters and some carbon bits..
Cause, he just fixed my damn bike!
So Bryan comes over to loan me a compression gauge.. Pull the plug, and crap.. won't fit.
I asked if he had anything to do, and if not, he can help me pull the CCT?
He's game, and off we go...
pull, the radiator to get back to the valve covers, and pull the intake valve cover off. He points and laughs at me.
Seems one of the valve adjustment screw bolts had worked itself loose, and one intake valve was closed the whole time!
That would explain why the bike sputtered and ran until it died.
We re-adjusted all 4 valves and decided to start her up. With the radiator dangling and the gas tank not yet installed, we fire her up..
She barks and growls like we had just awaken an angry dog! Settles just fine into the idle, and I was jumping up and down!!
button everything back up, and took her out for a quick ride.
I came back and said there was a huge problem.. It's too fast!
Now the bike purrs like a kitten, but I have not done a 'real' ride yet, so i'll check back tomorrow.
Thanks Bryan.. I owe you beers for life!
