I couldn't care less about results or medals or whatever. I have little no interest in sports in general. As a horny male I like looking at the lady divers' bottoms. So... Yay Olympics! :laughing

Btw I find HH's apparent bitterness endearing. Reminds me of myself. High five fellow introvert!

I like seeing people that still love their sport. Even when knowing they have to go back to their regular jobs afterwards.

White Male Privilege Is Why We Laugh At Lochte And Vilify Douglas

remains to be seen if we are laughing at lochte or humiliated by him. at this point, he's a national embarrassment. what happened to gabby was total bullshit, but i suspect she will fare much better in the end than that halfwit lying drunk mouthing off to his mother, and subsequently the world. very good on the part of the brazilian authorities to get to the bottom of the story, and setting the record straight. overall, it's sad that america brought unnecessary drama to the otherwise exciting games in Rio.

plenty of other drama besides dude getting smashed and being a fucktard.

if we just ignore him he'll go away.

agree with you completely, but the point was also made with regard to gabby. and i think it was a fair point regarding her disproportionate treatment. the cruelty she suffered is inexcusable.

Well now that you mentioned it... yeah just a little bit

:green ... almost as bad as watching the old school commies celebrate.

Is that Brezhnev in the background of the first pic?

I must have missed what happened with gabby -- good thing about not having cable and watching the events I want, and getting to ignore the bullshit TV narrative stuff that's pushed.

We live in a strange world where the broadcasters of the Olympics would waste so much air time on the idiotic antics of Lochte that could have been better used to show things like more of the mens High Jump final, more of the Wrestling or some other thing that most of the American people would have preferred over hearing about a loser whose 15 minutes were up long ago.

I appreciate that also. I think the US is awesome, well California is, been to a few other states that are less awesome.

This is actually the first year that Canadians didn't make up the majority of NHL players.

Serious question with no mocking intended: Do you actually feel "pride" when athletes you don't know personally win for your country even though realistically you have contributed nothing to their careers?

FUCK YEAH! I do feel pride that athletes representing my country gave it their all (winning is icing on the cake) on a particular sports event and not going to apologize for it.

And watch Conlans response to the result.
He tore the Boxing judges and Russians a new one live on Irish TV. Tough to understand for the non Paddy but you get the idea.
Gotta feel for the guy, World Champion, gives up years of his prime at Amateur level in pursuit of Olympic gold. All to get robbed by a line up of Judges with pockets full of Rubles. The Russians also bought the heavyweight gold by all accounts too.

I didn't see this one and can't find a video of the fight. Was he as blatantly robbed of a win as some of the talk is suggesting?
