Daijiro Kato also rode for Fausto Gresini who must be devastated to have lost another great one. :(
 
I've been offline all weekend so until I saw this thread about 15 minutes ago, I had no idea Marco had passed.

At the beginning of the season I was not a Marco fan but as the season progressed I was warming up to his method of riding and personality.

I'm sad that I will not be able to see another race with Marco racing!

I picked up a couple of Italian papers today. His face is everywhere and I hear his name all over the place. The skies over Milan opened up and rained today and it has been darker than it was my first few days here. I asked my friend Alessandro if he had seen the papers and he said he knew but couldn't bear the sadness he would feel if he read the papers or watched the footage. :(

Yes. I bought two papers. One is for you. The other has been offered to another major moto gp nut here on BARF. I will see if I can't get another paper tomorrow or run and get one tonight. It's my pleasure to give it to you.
