He was one of my favorite riders. I've met him twice. Awesome guy, kind and generous... I saw him at Laguna taking the time to autograph something for a lady in a wheelchair... He's my hero... :thumbup

I don't know. I'm pretty sure I would be ok with this tattoo. It would be an honor. But yes. It's true, I'm not thinking right now. I still feel like shit... :(

Well. I was already a fan. I did buy his helmet replica and had another AGV autographed by Sic last year... :cool Thanks... :)

I was gonna order one soon and have him sign it next year. Bummed even more.

As for the tattoo think about it. If there was a sprots figure who deserves it, it was him in my mind.

I read somewhere today that was a pic of him when he secured his 250 championship...very appropos.

I pulled myself away from football action, remembering that a race was waiting for me on motogp.com. excited about it even. the kids were busy with their own thing, so I didn't bother bringing them over.

I sat with hands over my mouth for a while after the incident. got up, and hugged my kids many times. sat back down.

my wife came home from the hairdresser. told her about it. hugged. she had to see it for herself. I couldn't watch it with her. his helmetless head dragging on the ground is going to be a hard image to shake.

kids overheard us talking about it. I explained it: the fragility of life, doing what you love, etc....I'm glad they don't really understand. even being at Laguna year after year, I'm sure it's almost like watching a video for them. but those are real human beings out there, risking a whole lot more than it seems.
