RIP Rebecca

May she ride the roads of heaven forever.:rose

Getting another stinking tweeker off the street is certainly a good thing.

Not to thread hijack......

People should remember that punishment for crime is determined by the courts. The courts hand out punishments that the law requires. The laws are written, or changed, by politicans. We elect politicans that are like minded to our ideals and beliefs.

Bottom line...... change starts with us.

If we, society, wants stiffer punishments handed out for DUI drivers, esp multipule offenders, then we need to make the change.

Get active. Become a driving force in change. Contact your local reps and get them on board that we no longer will accept what is happening on our streets.

Very true but let's face it, most of the posters pay only lipservice.

Yep. The old 20 80 rule.

(before anyone askes.... 20% of the people doing 80% of the work.)

Maybe its time we, 20%'ers, did something.....

RIP...

recently, i had another nearly dead experience lying in a hospital bed, and it really messes with your head.. i am so sad to see that such young life is wasted... i can relate to my own mortality....

i offer my deepest regrets to her family and friends...

RIP Rebecca..now I rant

While I am truly saddened by the loss of yet another person to a drunk / stoned driver I am deeply saddened by a population that allows this kind of thing to happen. Over and over and over again.

This guy was already on parole. Just by that fact we know he has done something bad in the past. He was given a chance and he didn't care enough about his responsibility to society to clean up his act so as far as I am concerned he has used up all of his chances.

Walk him down to the tile covered room with the drain in the floor and pop him.

I know nothing will bring this young lady back but I don't want one dime of my hard earned money going to support the life of this guy for one minute, whether he is behind bars or not.

As long as someone can show no regard for others' lives, and then take a life and not face any real punishment it will never end.

So just as a rabid dog, a mad elephant, or a serial killer I vote that this creep be put down. I also feel this should be done in full view of the public.

I know the bleeding hearts will cry that he is a victim himself because something bad happened to him in the past, or that it was an accident or some other BS. Well, he knew what might happen when he took that first swallow of of booze before he got behind the wheel. No, he thought he could get away with it and now a beautiful young person is dead.

A car, truck or motorcycle can be just as deadly as any bullet. Had this guy loaded up on booze and then gone out onto the highway and just started shooting (MAYBE he might not hit anyone) the world would be in an uproar. But no, he took a motor vehicle and fired it down the road ( again..MAYBE he might not hit anyone) but in this case, someone lies dead. This was not an accident. They guy just doesn't give a shit.

Change the laws to allow the death penalty for crap like this. Will this bring Rebecca back? No, but it would send a message to all those who think they can do anything and never have to pay for it.

And to all those who will say the death penalty is not a deterrent, I won't say why but I know you are wrong.

The death penalty is NOT a deterrent, it is a punishment, and should be used as such.

RIP rider.

Anyone who thinks capitol punishment would deter a drug addict/alchoholic doesn't really understand the nature of drug addiction/alcholism, imo.

RIP Sad to see another rider go. My deepest regards to her family!!!!!! I nearly lost a friend a few weeks ago. Not the same incident but similar he also collided with a truck and boat!

RIP Becca :cry

I have to give you that one. I hadn't really thought of it that way. I'm pretty sure a druggie or drunk is going do whatever, no matter what.

So, that being a given, why not just smoke all the druggies and drunks because they can't be detered from getting on the road and killing people because of thier chosen life?

how sad.

well use this to warn new riders that you cannot trust cages at all. Always give yourself plenty of room and hope for the best. You cant fo anything of a car in your lane around a blind corner but you sure can try your best to give yourself plenty of cusion are cages....
