RIP, Ed.
An absolutely great guy who was part of my formative moto years. My first off-road ride was with him and Banjo boy on fish rock road. He helped me pick up my strom when i fell over whole dismounting.
He also gave me a well deserved lecture on not doing stupid shit. But, he delivered it in such a way that it actually sank in. I could tell he truly cared that my riding career was a long one.
When the Weaverville rally started i was moved by his support and his presence. They say that the biggest part of success is showing up. He showed up, again and again, and was a really enjoyable part of BARF.
We've lost an esteemed elder in our community. I hope we can all emulate his kindness, his riding skills, and his love of life and community.
