I was rooting for Holm because she is from my home state of New Mexico. That said, I have a ton of respect for Rousey's abilities. Her attitude has been a bit out of check recently, though. She's still a hell of a fighter, even if unirr has vastly superior skills and conditioning.

Fighters like that get my respect.. A pretty commercial face of an olympic medalist calling out undefeated and proven champions like Mayweather... It quite clearly shows how little respect she has namely for the limits of her capabilities. Holly showed her what those limits were.. The kind of people who band wagon on Rounda are the same types who Band wagon'd Paq-man. Riding the wave of hype and getting caught up in the image instead of technically assessing the person's capability as a fighter... They get in the ring with a real fighter and they get fuckn demolished... people who truly follow the sport and understand fighting typically can spot the difference before the first blow is thrown. Those who can't stand out like a sore thumb.

So much animosity . Lots of good points too, and yes Anderson Silva is a cocky fighter, as is Jon Jones. Ego goes with the territory in the fight game, lots of the biggest names in boxing/mma have big egos (Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Mayweather, Silva, Jon Jones, Lesnar, Connor McGregor, Diaz Brothers, etc etc etc). Big personalities sell fights. You either love them or you hate them, either way you're talking about them (case in point, this thread and all of social media this last 24 hours).

For me personally, I don't give a shit about a fighter's personality. I'm not looking for a role model, but I do watch fights and respect fighters for their technique. I love watching Mayweather even though he's a dick, I don't care what he does in his personal life, I just admire his skill, same goes for any other fighter I care to watch.

I quite enjoy the entertaining fighters and like all of the ones you mentioned (mainly because they have skill/talent/heart). Funny enough, most of the people raging in here hate them... Uni, I think that you are confusing pity for hatred. I certainly don't hate you. I find you mildly annoying, but mostly I just feel sorry for you.
